In several other posts, the subject of wanting to try Phone Sex, and Chat and other play has come up as a way to play and earn money.  Niteflirt (http://www.niteflirt.com) offers something like this.

I looked at it didn't fit for me... I'm not really a phone/cam kinda person.   I thought about recommending it, but I haven't personally tried this. Has anyone?  Does anyone have experience with this service and how it fits in fetish/bdsm play?

That's right. That's what it is.  I'm glad you understand the construct.  But this isn't about your opinion on money for services.  That's a different post.  Actually, that's MANY other posts. Which you are not shy about answering.  Can we keep focus, please?

Now back to the question.  Have you actually tried this service, either as a consumer or a provider? Has anyone?
Do they provide the service and support they say they do?  Do they pay promptly?  Do they provide marketing support?  How are they when tax time comes?

Please, please don't make this yet another moratorium on money and the scene.

if you are willing to put in a little bit of work they provide a lot of support and service...i have seen it work really well for lots of people...best way to go, build up a good customer base and do appointments...i have seen someone take weekly appointments for 2 hour webcam shows of her feet or something else fetish and not have to bother with the 2 minute men....

I know Goddess Dianna Vesta uses it, she's used it for some time (I think) and I think she finds it pretty neat but I don't know..don't think she'd bother if she didn't like it.
I haven't tried it myself..am sure you can ask her about it, she runs a forum on http://femsupreme.com/village/index.php you have to register to access it. I'm sure she can give you a detailed info if you wish.

in a nut shell i know alot of prodommes that use it they also belong to the Max Fisch thingy ...
as a service orented site it is the only one that has the better support for people on either side of the fence

Max Fisch (http://www.maxfisch.com) is a website primarily for professional Mistresses.  It doesn't feature or offer specifics for phone play, cam play or anything else. The goal of Max Fisch is to help those who crave domination in pay for play environment, find it.  The forums are generally inhabited by Imperious Mistresses (that is a compliment) and the people who absolutely adore them.  It's highly regarded and a great resource.

Nite Flirt offers independent women the opportunity to work under their banner.  It's not in my comfort zone, so I won't sign up (I don't play well with others).  And you can't find out how they do without joining.

If they are good people who do what they say they do, I'd love to recommend them.  Otherwise I worry about it being something like Cafe Press. (Which looks great, and pays randomly if at all.)

You will always do better to go independent.  It's a hassle to figure out credit card billing, etc. but there's something to be said for cutting out the middle man.  I am sure niteflirt takes a huge chunk of commission out of the gate. 

If you want to avoid issues with setting up billings, etc., you can have your time compensated through gift cards or other ways that don't reveal your private information.  Keep in mind, though, you are still required to claim these on your taxes.

Over the years here with these message boards.  Many have come through here who were professionals with nightflirt.
More often than not they only came to push themselves for more business.

Beyond that, I have no idea of inner workings of nightflirt and how they will pay you when you join up.  I do know the people there have to literally beg for people to call them.
So, perhaps nightflirt does not stand behind them so much to get them a lot of business?

If you have to do all adertising yourself, why not go into business yourself and keep all the money?

I was considering it just to earn extra income from home.  It would never roll over into my personal life.  Seems an easy way to make a few extra bucks since I live alone.

I've known girls who have done the NiteFlirt thing. They liked it well enough but I am on Camz and much prefer it. Few sites offer a higher cut and so many other ways of making money. And NO, I repeat NO other site treats their girls as well. The support is phenomenal. I do well and never market myself at all. One of my major issues with NiteFlirt is that the girls have to hawk themselves and be money grubs in order to make it. I don't want to try that hard. I only want customers who want what I have to offer, not customers who give me their money because I'm shoving it down their throat (unless that's their thing, heehee).

And it is completely not worth it to go independant. That's just misguided. I'd rather no be facing jail time because I did this on my own and didn't research every new law that might affect my business, like the staff's lawyers at a professional site will do for you. Then lets get into the overhead, servers, bandwidth, site cost, site design, 2257 maintenance, business start up costs (incorporation), marketing (oh, get ready for lots of that, they have to find you out there in the mass of sites), legal, etc.

I am on it when I have time and not filming. I enjoy it myself :) I have made good money on it and it is a way for male subs to serve me when I otherwise wouldn't have time for them :)

For the past 6 years I have been an 'advisor' with two different listings (hypnosis and tarot reading) on Keen and more recently on their sister site, NiteFlirt (just the hypnosis site).  Depending on my focus and the time I dedicated to it, the amount of money I make has ranged from a couple of hundred dollars a month for extras to a very comfortable living which allowed me to put my daughter through a very good college.  I have never received a 1099 but it is clear that each advisor is required to report their income and file their own taxes.  Oh, and I don't cam, at least not on Keen/Niteflirt.
