Mercnbeth -> Test Question... (8/22/2007 10:25:56 AM)

According to the source who sent me this the scenario below was on an employment application. The answers and reasoning behind them used to evaluate the potential employee's reaction when presented with a moral/ethical dilemma.

If you've seen it before - don't shout out the "right" answer and reasoning.

You are driving down the road in your BMW Z3 - 2 seat roadster on a wild, stormy night, when you pass by a bus stop and you see three people waiting for the bus:

1. An old lady who is obviously sick and looks as if she is about to die; using the bus to go to the hospital.
2. An old friend who once saved your life.
3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to and why, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your car.

1. The old lady. (don't know how I know she is going to the hospital and is dying but nevertheless)

One has the immediate need, I will see the lifesaver later, and tell the love of my life to get down on her knees and start crying, 'cause I am not sure what I am going to do to her yet, but it is gonna take some getting out of, and she will be distressed.

Maybe you could tell the old friend to be warming the girl up for your return, thus repaying the favor to him while also getting the girl practiced in "smiling like a donut" for when you get back?

There is no right answer...

Apart from the one where you tell the person that saved your life to take the old woman to hospital in your car whilst you escort your dream partner home or maybe shove her in the boot.

Hand my car keys to the old friend and ask him to drive the old lady to the hospital, I can ride the bus with the perfect partner.....have you seen the back seats of those greyhounds? Room for all kinds of fun back there.....

If the chewing gum doesn’t get you it’ll be the vomit. That’s why the seats are bright and colourful so that you can’t make out the vomit stains that drunks left behind.

Sure there is. You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first. Or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back. However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.

I sent the answer given by one applicant that resulted in getting the job to the others who responded, but you didn't have a profile on the other side so you'll have to wait until I post it here.

Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought limitations. Never forget to "Think outside of the Box."

HOWEVER....

My personal answer to the question was to run the old lady over and put her out of her misery[sm=hair.gif], have sex with the perfect partner[sm=shake.gif] on the hood of the car, then drive off with the old friend for a few beers [sm=lol.gif].

But that's just me because I love happy endings. [sm=banana.gif]

~Fast Reply~

I'd have the life saver save the old woman from whatever disease she's dying from (you didn't specify how the guy saved your life), then take the love of my life in my car.

scifi1133 -> RE: Test Question... (8/22/2007 4:10:28 PM)

Throw the keys to my buddy to take the old lady to the hospital and take the bus with the perfect partner.

HydroMaster -> RE: Test Question... (8/22/2007 4:12:25 PM)

My answer.....have the friend borrow the car and take the old woman to the hospital while staying behind at the bus stop to talk to the dream girl.

If I had actually read the posts I'd have known that it's already been thought of ...lol

edited for a post thought

Yeah, but you have to compete with the "eau de toilette" emanating from the necessary...

I'd give my car keys to the friend to take the old lady to the hospital (he's an old friend, so he knows where I live, is trustworthy, and has already proven to be a humanitarian by saving my life). Then I'd wait with my perfect partner at the bus stop (if she's perfect, she wouldn't expect me to drive her when others are in need).

How'd I do?

CORRECT!

What if the bus stop collapses in the wind and kills you both?

What if....
