What's going on in Baghdad is totally irrelevant. The Iraqi Parliament ( what's left of them, when they get back from their holidays... ) is powerless, and even the Green Zone isn't secure.

Who is in control of each of the following provinces, and what is their affiliation:

1. Al Anbar
2. Al Basrah
3. Al Muthanna
4. Al Qadisiyah
5. An Najaf
6. Arbil
7. As Sulaymaniyah
8. At Ta'mim
9. Babil
10. Baghdad
11. Dahuk
12. Dhi Qar
13. Diyala
14. Karbala'
15. Maysan
16. Ninawa
17. Salah ad Din
18. Wasit

Is there a meaningfull difference b/t provinces and governates?
