Level -> Brazil to offer free sex change operations (8/17/2007 5:44:52 PM)

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil - Brazil’s public health system will begin providing free sex-change operations in compliance with a court order, the Health Ministry said Friday.

Ministry spokesman Edmilson Oliveira da Silva said the government would not appeal Wednesday’s ruling by a panel of federal judges giving the government 30 days to offer the procedure or face fines of $5,000 a day.

“The health minister was prompted by the judges’ decision,” Silva said. “But we already had a technical group studying the procedure with the idea of including it among the procedures that are covered.”

Make sure to check for Adam's apples when you're in Rio looking for a good time.

I'm fine with that...I have no problem with free sex for a change.

LMAO Did you get excited?

Documentary on PBS said that free sex changes happen in Middle Eastern countries as well.  It's seen as better to the islamic right than being gay.  Interesting programme. Sorry I can't remember the name but it was undercover documentary on the gay community in muslim countries.

I wonder what they have to do in Brazil to be eligable for a sex change operation?

I know several people here in the states who are still in their waiting phases.
Others who are still trying to save up the required amount of money.

If all you have to do is be a resident, I'm sure the population of Brazil is going to go
up.  Who knows in ten years it could all be changed people down there?

pahunkboy -> RE: Brazil to offer free sex change operations (8/18/2007 6:26:37 AM)

no thank you- more penises not less.   and i wish to keep my own,  LOL. [or maybe have an additional one to cum 2x as hard!!!]

im sorry- i dont understand those who want a sex change. it is hard to carry a friendship with them as they are very moody.

if a man isnt a man- or a woman isnt a woman it gets confusing as to how to treat them!     [keep in mind that i happen to be gay, this is just my OPINION]

sub4hire -> RE: Brazil to offer free sex change operations (8/18/2007 6:36:21 AM)

When we talk do you treat me like you would any female?

That moodiness goes away after the operation and they finally go on to lead
better lives.  Their wishes and dreams come true.

Every person I have ever spoken to who wanted or had a change always said the same thing.
I grew up feeling like I was in the wrong body.  I knew it very early on, from my first memories of
other children and interacting.
I did this and that because society thought I should, my family and friends.  It never felt right.  I never
felt right.  I thought about suicide.  Etc.  It goes on and on.
In psychology class we were taught people were born gay.  In another class we were taught it was a decision each and every person made.

Well if you subscribe to the idea people were born gay.  It isn't hard to subscribe to the idea people were born the wrong sex either.

Ladies- should be afforded an additional degree of nicties, manners, courtesy. So YES, I do treat ladies- in a more polite manner then guys.

{altho] knowing you, you could handle a male conversation, no problem.

civility, decoorumnn, manners.  it is a lost art- in society.

being that you and i talked via audio- you may have noticed i seldomm use the f-word ect.  this would be either sex. my dad taught me as a child that an educated person doesnt need to use vulgarity.

-on teh flip side- my close freind Jenn, uses the phraze "god damn"- finally i asked her to pls not say that to me.  she had no idea....

i dont disdain folks that do talk this way- but i prefer not to talk this way myself.----- if anything out of respect to my dad- and to how I was raised.

**** yes!  I kid, I kid.  I don't swear honestly.  Or, at least, very rarely.  I agree in that people used to be better mannered than they are now.

PaHunk, you don't want to be a "penis doner?"
That's another question, where they gonna get all those penises, from guys that want to go the other way?
"Jeese Doc, my nutsack keeps getting in the way during sex!"

came4U -> RE: Brazil to offer free sex change operations (8/19/2007 2:18:38 PM)

Just join the Canadian military, they give free sex changes too.

sigh

Came4u, no thanks, I did enough years in the U.S. Military.
And like PaHunk I'll keep my penis thankyou very much.

I would imagine constructing a penis out of a vagina is probably easier than constructing a vagina out of a penis.

I only know males who turned female.  I know those females tell me they have just about no feeling at all.

It's actually the other way around; MtF operation results are much more "functional" than FtM ones, and far less expensive.  I'm not too sure about losing sensation in that area either, mine seems to have a lot more feeling than it did before.  From what I've read, 2/3 of people who have it done have enough feeling in that region to reach "happy fun levels", so the ones you know might have gotten unlucky, or gone to a surgeon with an outdated procedure.

sub4hire -> RE: Brazil to offer free sex change operations (8/20/2007 6:06:31 AM)

Very well could be.  I ask a LOT of questions.  Always needing to know something about everything.
The price ranges have been from about 70 grand down to (pretty sure Krystal said she has to pay) 15,000?
So, times have changed.

However, it has never been any desire for me to change my sex.  So, curious does not mean I am reading everything about something to become educated.  It only means I am asking everyone I know who has done it themselves.
I wonder if there is a fix for the ones that were early on, or botched.  Whatever the proper verbage would be.

One of my good friends was a 50,000 operation about ten year's ago.  Since then she has gotten married.  Gotten custody of her children...etc.  Things have went well for her to say the least.
She is one with little feeling.  I wonder if there is a fix?
