Why is it there are so many posts here asking "what should I/i do?" when all the OP has to do is approach the subject matter with the appropriate person, be it husband, wife, Dom/me, b/f or g/f?

Honestly, if I ever came across a post from one of My subs or a friend asking something of the general populace that only I could truly answer and in context, that would make Me very unhappy that they couldn't approach Me.

Just a random musing.  Please carry on.

Ideal is not real.

*nods*.....yep, i wonder the same thing.

Sometimes the 'appropriate person' as you refer to them is too close to the situation to ask and sometimes they are the problem, something they said / did etc.
Sometimes its just nice to have an honest, anonymous, non-involved opinion.

Perhaps so, but like the OP in the "first time to a BDSM club" post.. s/he's asking something only their Master could answer...

In other more intimate questions, instead of airing potential "dirty laundry" on the internet, why not seek advice and counsel from a friend?

Personally I would HATE to find out I'm being cheated on by reading a post looking for honest, anonymous, non-involved opinions...

Maybe I'm just old, crusty and jaded, but I've been on the net long enough to know that there is very little chance of getting a "good" answer online... a question is more prone to getting flamed than anything else.

I've not read the post but yes in theory i agree she should ask her Master.

Its only potential dirty laundry if all partners are forum posters / members of cm. I don't have many friends in the lifestyle to talk to in real life and to be honest have often found the advice here to be very useful.

Agreed, something like that though no decent person would post about knowing you'd read it.

Many posters here give 'good answers'. Yeah quite often you have to sift through the flames etc but there are some really good helpful people here.
