To me, there is a huge difference between being a bottom & being a submissive or slave. There are certain people I don't mind bottoming to, so long as I retain control. In other words, the dominance doesn't stop because I am engaging in an activity as a bottom. I don't switch to a submissive role, just because I am engaging in an activity.

I to bottom, But only to the Master (women) who mentored me. She taught me a great deal and I was given the honor a few months ago to have her bottom to me. smiling. She was proud to see how well my caning tech was coming along. Her ass wasn't..lol. I enjoy bottoming, submitting is a whole diffirent ball game and I have been on that side many moons ago. One thing I have found is that a few of my submissive boys hate the fact that I bottom. I actually had to stop playing with one because it bothered him so much that he said he couldnt respect me anymore.. I bottom for cathartic reasons. I work trauma all night and bottoming to a good caning (passed out from pain good) is something that helps me release the pain of watching people and children die everyday.
