i once took a piercing out because i got sick of listening to the guy i was dating bitch about it... i had it before we dated - but he ended up hating it so i took it out. BIG mistake! Within 2 weeks of breaking up, i was back at the piercer's :-)
i guess, seeing as how i have "several" body mods already, anyone whom i would date would probably be accepting of adding to them...

Migration is the body rejecting the jewelry. The jewelry literally starts to grow out. They will sometimes stop migrating once they reach a certain point - or they can continue to go until they actually come out of the flesh. Nipple piercings usually migrate downward. my piercer said he had better luck with larger gauge jewelry staying in better so going with a 12 gauge instead of the normal 14 might help. Also, once there's scar tissue from a previous piercing, it's usually less likely for subsequent piercings to go - notice i said less likely - not impossible.
 
Infection shouldn't be a problem if You buy Your equipment already sterilized. There are lots of online sources - www.triblectic.com is a very reputable body piercing site. They sell everything You'll need. The main thing about aftercare is doing it. 1/8 of a teaspoon of sea salt (doesn't have iodine in it so it doesn't sting) in the warmest water possible... soak the piercings 6 times a day. That's the only way to get them to heal properly with no complications. Nipples take a while to heal - there's guidelines on tribalectic's site. Make sure not to change jewelry or mess with the piercings til they're completely healed.

I didn't have or get anything done like piercings or tats, as those where things I wouldn't do.  But I had to shape and tone my body to look the way she desired.  I had to completely remove all body hair and keep it that way.  I had to have a full-body tan, so I began to tan in the nude to achieve that.  No facial hair and the hair on my head was to be kept short.  I have a feminine shape with hips, so I did have some waist training done to give myself even more hips and a smaller waist for feminization.  It worked out wonderfully and I loved my new body - and felt great when she would have me naked in front of others for public play.  I was very confident and loved being in public like that.  I'm no longer with her, but that is because of a reason out of our control.  However, my body is still exactly the same way as it was with her.

Last December, Guarddawg put a cautery brand of a pawprint on my lower back.  He used a cautery pen to do it.  It may need to be retouched periodically (once every 12-18 months or so).  We are also talking about doing a tatoo, but need to decide on just the RIGHT image.  I will never regret any markings that he chooses to do.  We have been together 10 years, married for 6 of them, and he has held (and continues to do so) the key to my collar for about 1.5-2 years now...  That won't change.

I think I am sufficiently acquainted with the English language to recognize a generic statement when I see one.

There are better ways of identifying specific "doms or dommes", especially when he is talking about "your ex dom".

It's a predictive generalized statement that includes all other doms and dommes.

I know his experience is not so broad as to include me, and I am quite certain there are many others who've been misrepresented in that statement.

Such statements are often included to add weight to a claim. But they are over-reaching, and thus weakened by such efforts.

I'd not have disagreed with him had he limited himself to "some doms and dommes", as I am sure such a statement is true.

But such a broad brush as he has used does not accurately portray reality.

We've done cautery brands, strike brands, cuttings and had tattoos done to mark slaves. We also do our own piercing, temporary and permanent. We like doing vaginal piercing of various kinds to hold an engraved "tag" as a way of keeping a slaves mind in her slave space. To make chastity devices work better we have pierced male slaves with PA's.

Our philosophy is the marks and tags a slave has are part of who they have been and are today... badges of courage and commitment that we respect, whether we applied them or some earlier Master did.

I was modifying my own body before I met him.  And there were things I wanted to do but had not yet don.e  The first thing we did was getting my belly pierced at 3 months.  Not a big deal.  The thing closes up.  Not something I'd wanted to do before I met him. But we share this kink.  And that's been nice.  Since then I've had my nipples pierced (now 4 gauge), my triangle pierced (now 0 gauge) my and a breast augmentation.  If this ended tomorrow I'd be very happy with, and ruthlessly repurpose what we've done together. But' its been really grand to share this kink with another.  Really grand.

For me it's just another kink.

And yes we are still together almost 3 years.

It obviously comes down much to personal preference...If your Dom puts his mark on you and it looks like shit...Well, you will be carrying around that mark for quite some time....I don't think I would be to thrilled to remove a subs thong to find "Sir Gary's Cunt" Tattooed right above her pussy.

Piercings are no big deal...If you are marked and it looks like shit it is a reflection on you as well as the Dom that would place such a mark of shit on your body.

i would strongly recomend that you get training from a trained piercer before doing a permanent nipple piercing...its a lot different doing a temporary higher (smaller) gauge piercing through the nipple than to do a permanent lower (larger) gauge piercing through the nipple...the placement is the main issue...where in the nipple to pierce to prevent migration is the big one...i have large breasts...they needed to be further back...also what kind of jewelry (barbell, curved barbell, captive bead ring, etc)  and to a lesser degree what angle for it to look right...not all boobs hang the same and sometimes you can't pierce them in the place that they are hanging...and i am sure there are other variables that i haven't addressed...learn from someone else's mistakes...

I've every intention of thoroughly researching this before ever attempting it.

As for what angle to look right, learned that with the temp piercings.

Of course, I'll be working on a new slave (eventually) so I've no idea what the situation will be till I get there.

But as the topic is being discussed, I didn't want to pass up the opportunity to ask.

I had my right nipple pierced and had lots of problems.  The issue turned out to be that the piercing had invaded an already mal-formed milk duct..  A year later, after numerous trials of antibiotics, I had to have surgery to remove the duct and pocket of infection.  Lots of $$$$$, lots of not-good pain, lots of side effects from antibiotices, lots of hassles I don't ever want to go through again.

i guess this comes with having pride in your self your.. being proud to be with one or having the bran of the a life long dom domme there is something very speacil and grand about it.. and your right it is not everyones cup of tea just trying to wake peope up that this should be a big step of devotion not something that should be for beer or wine tasting or doing it cause it is cool...but to each their own. I just do not want a station wagon with a lot of bumper stickers on it sorry just my choice.. if someone dose not respect them selves how are they going to respect you hummmm
