Why is it that whenever I read a new topic it seems like no matter what the OP was saying, the entire thread becomes dedicated to trashing on their original post? Be it rant, question, opinion, or just their feelings about something, even when it's said in a completely non-aggresive way. Why can't we have a discussion about something, instead of an arguement about everything?  And if someone really has that much of a problem with what the OP said then why can't they just leave it alone instead of bashing it? I recently read a topic where a girl was writing about her new-found daddydom/daughter relationship and what she was learning from it. It should have been a great opening to a conversation about the dynamics of a Daddydom/daughter relationship, but the first five or so responses were completely destructive. One of them was accusing the OP of not having a reason for posting because she didn't have a question, another was wether or not she was even in the relationship.
This isn't meant to be a rant... and I don'twant it to turn into an argument... I just don't understand why we use the forums for arguments and debates instead of peaceful conversations that should be friendly?

No one has control of what you type (cept the mods) and you don't have any control over what anyone else types. I find it is easier to ignore those that annoy me rather than whine about it. Whining just tends to bring in the sharp stick wielding sadists......

don't say I didn't warn yaaaaaaa..................

Much of how a poster is received has to do directly with the way the question is phrased....After all, it's a tough room, baby.....Did you read the other posts that the womna who wrote about her "daddy" relationship made?  If you come out her like "Bill" and make ridiculous post after ridiculous post your future posts will probably no be received in all that tremendous of a light...

.I have yet to ever post anything of a serious nature....The only reason I am barely tolerated out here, is people are waiting for that day when it finally happens...People can be soooo dumb.  I encompass the depth of a child's wading pool.

So you would like everyone to say "woo hoo.  You are perfect.  You know everything and I wouldn't change a thing" to every single post ever?  Hm.....sounds like someone doesn't like confrontation.

The reason I post here is not so I can sheep in with the rest but because we all think differently and offer up alternative aspects and thoughts about any given topic.

If all we ever saw were flowers what fun or education would this provide?  Damn it, give me the manure too!

Friendly discussion generally implies taking the time to figure what the other person meant, seeing if one has anything productive to offer, and working out a useful reply.

Debating just requires an available target in the form of someone else's post, and a bag of limited tricks.

And cyber bullying in any form carries with it a pretty low risk of having to deal with the consequences of one's words in real life.

So any forum is going to have plenty of whining passive aggressive posts, trolling posts, honest question posts, useful answer posts, and childish debate trick posts.

Don't take it personally.

You ask some really good questions, young lady.
I can tell you are very bright.

IMHO, a lot of people in this lifestyle have BIG ego's.
I am not sure who has the biggest ego's around here: the Dominants, the submissives or the switches.

Look up the definition of egocentric, and you will understand.

Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and everyone thinks theirs smells best.
There are all kinds in this world so it only makes sense that there's representation of that here as well .

Just take it all with a grain of salt....and since you've got the salt out...how about a shot of tequila?

Some threads get off to a rocky start. I agree. Some threads do well all the way thru.
Such is life in general. Personally? I think if I ever posted something on here that I was serious about, had given it some thought and wrote it out well, it would get some decent replies. Just my two cents. xo
