It was a tongue in check comment.

Of course, I was adding filler text, not arguing with the central tongue in cheek message.

I just found out that Rove's kid Andrew is 21, and one of them piece of shit cowards who supports the war, but isn't in uniform.

The poor libs lose a moderate ooops I mean “neo-con” punching bag. For a guy that badly bungled the last midterm elections he sure has a reputation (among libs) as being some kind of scary political operative.

You are suggesting that I'm a ignorant concerning politics? Or more accurately you are suggesting that I am being influenced by "faux" news. Liberals have a tendency to name call I notice. I don't watch any type of news programs all I do is read. Not only do I read but I read critically and very rarely accept facts without confirming them from another source. My opinions are based on the facts as I can best ascertain them. What are your opinions based on? (the last time I had a similiar discussion the person actually admitted to being "informed" by the daily show and NPR)

Liberals

That would be a name.

[sarcasm]

I agree completely.  One would never catch a non-liberal calling somebody else names.

[/sarcasm]

Fine, I will play this your way.  Please provide some sort of empirical link showing that Karl Rove is a liberal leaning neo-con whipping boy for the Liberals in this country and we can have a discussion.

Everything I have read about him is that he is the poster child for the institution of the Permanent Right Majority being instituted in this country, regardless of whether the method of doing so was legal or illegal.

I have posted links, feel free to peruse them.  Let me know if you need more.

"Liberal" isn't a name it's a discriptive label. Calling Fox news "faux news" is meant as being an insult. I never suggested that liberals were the only people that name called just that they have a tendency to do it.

Karl Rove was the cheerleader for the latest amnesty push. If anything would alienate the conservative base it would have been that and the recoil was obvious. If that isn't enough he supported, verbally, and is credited with pushing for, the prescription drug program and the "no child left behind" bill both of which can only be considered liberal. Of course even if you were to argue that suddenly instead of being "Bush's brian" he was just the pawn of Bush/Cheny/Halliburton then that would make all of them liberal leaning (which I think is the case).

The 'latest' amnesty push, i.e. guestworkers, has been around since the 1920s or 30s.... highly unlikely that Rove has had an original thought on the matter.

These people are the biggest piggies feeding at the trough, please don't make them out to be evil geniuses.

I did use the word "latest" for a reason.

Well, John McCain might disagree about it being just a Liberal issue.

Rove smeared everyone.

I'm sure McCain would disagree...but then not many conservatives are supporting him. McCain puts the political interests of McCain before anything as silly as the constitution.

Are you forgetting how Rove swift-boated McCain in 2000 South Carolina primary election?

I didn't really see where you were coming from. I do remember the "swift boating" (an interesting term) in the South Carolina primaries and it really pissed me off as I had been a McCain supporter. Had positions been revearsed I'm sure he would have done the same thing. In fact who was it that sat on the Bush DUI and released it at the last second? (For supporting McCain I can only offer the excuse that I was young and had not developed any discernment. I believed believed what people said rather then pay any attention to their voting record.)
