I'm just curious if there are any BDSM or D/s type camps/compounds (that are not religious or fanatics hiding from the law) in the states?

I have been to the OWK a couple times, so i know what you're talking about, and i think i know what you would be looking for over here.

unfortunately, i don't think there is anything 'OWK-ish' here in the states.  i am not aware of it any anyway- that's for sure.  if there is something like that, i would definitely be interested!

my understanding is that the legalities (and 'moralities') of this country just would not allow something of that nature to exist and thrive here over the long-haul.  It would make news, and it would have legal issues dealing with state slaves that say they were 'beaten too much' against their will, etc. 

keep in mind that in the Czech Republic (where the OWK is located) it is not nearly the letigious society that we have over here.  Not to mention you don't have the level of media scrutiny or 'morality police' you do over here.  i have a feeling there would be picketers outside the place thumping bibles within a year of the place opening...  :-(

i would think it's hard enough to keep a small, private dungeon under wraps?  i don't know- cant say from experience on that one...

The only option i could think of is a ultra-rich person (who also happens to be ultra kinky) using their own palacial estate as the 'grounds' for such a Female-Supremecy endevour and creating a very private 'by-invitation-only' type compound.  No money is exchanged, etc. and there is a staff of males there to wait on women visitors hand-and-foot.  Maybe that does exist somewhere- i sure would like to know where, it is if it does!!!   I'm sure you would too.  Let me know if you get an invite, and i'll do the same.  :-)

There are several swingers clubs that have camping on site and cater to a somewhat BDSM crowd with fetish rooms and such......I dont know what OWK is so I am not sure what you are looking for

The OWK is amazing-it is not a camping or swingers place, it is hardcore Femdom fantasy turned to reality.  I would love to go there one day and the fact it is in Czech. adds a militaristic element that could not be acheived here.  If there was such a place in the US I'd love to know about it as well. http://www.owk.cz/index.htm

They really need to think about the name though.

Shouldn't it be a Queendom or a Realm or Dominion or at least something like that?  The "Kingdom" stuff has always kinda bugged me.

Did you ask anybody about that when you were there?  Respectfully ask, that is.

You have that right HB. I doubt our litigious, religious-right influenced country would ever allow a place such as the OWK to exist here. In addition to the harrassment from the religious right and their lawers, the voyeuristic, scandal-driven media would be all over it clucking their tongues in faux disgust and disapproval. As they of course relate to their audience every salacious and "lurid" detail. LOL
I have met and spoken with several people who have visited there, both subs and Dommes. From what I hear it is a pretty quiet sparsely populated place with the exception of the celebrations they hold several times a year.

Not that I'm judging, though I suppose I am, what I noticed is that most of the women pictured seem to be scantily clad twenty something fitness models. I have rarely seen ordinary women featured at that site. I'm guessing the dommes they use also double as models and the ordinary women and their slaves prefer to stay off camera. Not that I'm complaining necessarily, I am still a male and admit I am drawn to the visual.

Actually, the absence of these facilities in the US has little to do with conservative or litigious. Under Federal law, prostitution is a prosecutable offence, and anyone who provides opportunities for consenting adults to have sex is facilitating prostitution, if money changes hands. That can be as innocuous as paying the camping fee. So it is really only the properly organize swingers clubs that can do this sort of thing, provided gthey can prove there is a proper membership, and the purpose of the association is social, not sexual.

There are many of those places in Europe - apart from the Czech republic, I know of clubs in Germany, Spain, Belgium the Netherlands, Russia, and the UK, and I am sure there are other countries I've not researched. Those that exist in the United States are pretty much under the radar, I've heard rumours about similar clubs in NYC, D.C. (which has very strange laws), and some Southern states, and it would surprise me if there weren't some on the West Coast. But they probably don't sport websites and Yellow Pages listings.

I'm making no commentary on the value of La Domaine Esemar's programs or management.  But I will state categorically that they have a history in which they are prone to exaggeration, beginning with their claim to be the "world's oldest S/M training chateau".

I have just recently returned from the OWK, 2 weeks ago, I was in awe as the driver approached, huge grounds, and beautiful designed buildings, the Queens Palace is out of this world.

I must say it is an amazing place to visit. I stayed 4 days there, and the concept and overall realm, is very authentic and true to it's reputation.

I enjoyed filming there, and only wish there was a facility like the OWK in the UK.

The closest in Europe would be Avalon in Berlin, a place I wish to visit with my slave next year [:D]

The OWK is most definately not swinging, if that thought come to mind, I am sure castration would be imminent lol.

Unfortunately, going there will no longer be an option. OWK is on the auction block and if it doesn't sell, my understanding is that it will revert to the Czech government.
