AMSTERDAM, Netherlands - The famously liberal Netherlands has been swinging toward the right, cracking down on immigration, religious freedoms and the freewheeling red light district. The next possible target? Magic mushrooms.

The death of a 17-year-old French girl, who jumped from a building after eating psychedelic mushrooms while on a school visit, has ignited a campaign to ban the fungi — sold legally at so-called “smartshops” as long as they’re fresh.

Regulation of mushrooms is even less stringent than Holland’s famously loose laws on marijuana, which is illegal but tolerated in “coffee shops” that are a major tourist attraction.

The 17 year old chick who took the leap was already a tad bit touched....You would think that the 'shrooms might have straightened her ass out a bit....I'm no Dr., But if I were this is the kind of shit I would come up with....Did you know you can't get pregnant if you have a yeast infection?

Anywhoooo....I feel bad for the mushroom farmers.  I would imagine 17 year old French girls jump off of high places all the time....Bad hair day, ass looks big, zit, her boyfriend,Pierre, stares too long at friend, Giselle.....Whoosh!...Off ya go!

French chicks tend not to experiment with 'shrooms. They like being in control far too much. I was the exception that confirmed a rule.

I confirm, first hand, that the Pixie people are very cool.

I never did them.  I watched a bunch of my friends doing them once when I was 19, and I got to baby sit them the rest of the night.  They covered them in ketchup, because they told me that they tasted like shit.  Which didn't surprise me, because that's where they found them.  They spent the night before walking around in a cow pasture picking them out of cow shit.  One of them puked all over the backseat of my car, and later I had to explain to the police why one of my friends was yelling into the drainage pipe by the house we were at (he was convinced that trolls were in it.  I just told the cop that they'd been drinking and I'd get them to calm down.)  After all of that, I just didn't see the fun in it.

*ponders 'shrooms, Disneyland, sex in the Skyway to Tomorrowland*

What idiot would want to kill themselves with that as the trip agenda?

OK... best to not try them without that handy little bit of safety knowledge.  They used to give it out on the Poison Control hotline, so the dopers could safely find the magic 'shrooms, and not clog up the ERs
