ORIGINAL: JohnSteed1967 Sam Walton is quoted in his biography as saying, "My greatest fear, is how will my children grow up and be morally responsible people, knowing they will never have to work a day in their life." What's sad is Sam Walton could have easily structured his will in such a way that his descendants would have been guaranteed comfortable childhoods and great educations but then be forced to get a job and work for a living. That he instead chose to give his billions directly to his kids is just unbelievable from everything he wrote or said that i've encountered. yup even gates said something to the effect aht he was going to leave each of his kids 10 million and if they cant make it on that they cant make it on any amount of money. The rest he plans on donating somehow back to the people in various charities
