LotusSong -> The Bush Legacy (8/3/2007 3:21:52 PM)

Do you think that ANYONE with the surname Bush and related to George W. will ever be able to have a political career in the future?

"Bush, good for beans, bad for politics"

Let's ask Benedict Arnold's kids...

Level -> RE: The Bush Legacy (8/3/2007 3:30:08 PM)

Yes.

You're gonna have to give me a bit more on this, Level.  Care to elaborate?  Or is it because we absolutely that stupid as a nation?  Don't nits always make lice?

farglebargle -> RE: The Bush Legacy (8/3/2007 3:37:24 PM)

There is that point about being fucking morons...

LEAHY: I'm just asking you what role you have. I'm just asking you what you do. Let's not be too contemptuous of this committee. The American taxpayers pay your salary. You work for the American people. I'm just asking you what you DO.

JENNINGS: (leans over to consult with Mark Paoletta, his attorney) This falls under the terms of executive privilege, and respectfully I must decline to answer that question at this time.

Well, I'd only say we were "stupid" if we voted GW Bush back in (if that were possible). There are those that think he could have done much better if he had not tripped up in Iraq, and they see his brother Jeb as the "smart" one, so yes, I think he could possibly become a viable candidate. Jeb's son, George P., is liked by a number of people, and he may do something in the world of politics one day.

EPGAH -> RE: The Bush Legacy (8/3/2007 4:38:00 PM)

Oh, come on! Bush was the best president Mexico ever had! The bad news is, he somehow got to lead OUR country! Now every country hates (the) US, but Mexico loves HIM, so he's got a vacation-spot assured!
You don't think he'd attempt to sellout the Americans for PERSONAL gain--TWICE--do you? (Ref to TWO attempts to pass ANOTHER amnesty--the first two America tried just made the problem worse, but he thought HIS might be different!)
Also notice his Mexican friends didn't get shipped off to Iraq! (Then back "home" to Mexico, piece by mangled piece, after defying orders to leave an IED alone, heehee!)

As to his "mistake" in Iraq, do you mean ENTERING Iraq, or entering a long drawn-out ground-battle, instead of a series of airstrikes that could have levelled the area in under a day?

I'd say we were proven idiots when we accepted the first time we accepted the fake election.

Owner59 -> RE: The Bush Legacy (8/3/2007 9:43:44 PM)

They`re thinking about running "Jeb" for president.....

farglebargle -> RE: The Bush Legacy (8/4/2007 3:39:12 AM)

Remember, it's not who wins or loses, it's "Will The People accept the phony results without a revolution?"

And as we've seen in Nixon and Bush, The People will accept any bullshit that seems plausible.

Now is Jeb "Plausible"? I would consider the JUNKIE DAUGHTER to be a disqualifier, myself in the arena of national politics, but they got the retards in Florida to go along with his election in the first place so....

Gore/Rodham-Clinton .

Manawyddan -> RE: The Bush Legacy (8/4/2007 6:31:10 AM)

Gore's junkie son is ok with you, then?

Dude, that's like mixing matter and anti-matter.

They HATE each other.

George W. Bush is under indictment before the War Crimes Tribunal in the Hague.

He ever leaves this country, Interpol will take him on a little trip.

I searched the ICC website and official ICC press releases and find now mention of a warrant against President Bush. Other than the link you provided, and that article is owned by : Copyright IWCT AFGHANISTAN 2004. For fair use only/ pour usage équitable seulement.

Interpol would execute a warrant by the ICC but does the IWCT have that power? I cannot find very much on the IWCT.

I truly doubt that, Sinergy.

Such a story would be widespread, and that isn't.

Do some Googling, it talks about the "hearing" being in Tokyo, from what I see. And from the sources saying anything about it, I'm not at all convinced it was an actual judicial hearing.

farglebargle -> RE: The Bush Legacy (8/4/2007 8:52:41 AM)

Who tried Milosovic? They should get a crack at Bushco after they've served their Federal sentences.

He's going to drive off a bridge and kill someone?

*has the feeling popeye will be by on this* [:D]

OrionTheWolf -> RE: The Bush Legacy (8/4/2007 9:07:03 AM)

The ICTY did the trial on Milosevic http://hague.bard.edu/

I cannot find anything on ICTW, the link provided by synergy just goes to The Centre for Research on Globilization which is:
"The Centre for Research on Globalisation (CRG) is an independent research and media group of writers, scholars journalists and activists. The CRG is based in Montreal. It is a registered non profit organization in the province of Quebec, Canada. "

I don't find anything on the CRG website, that links them to the ICC.

LOL!   What I meant is..he'll be a ongoing "presence" while being politically neutered.  But in his case, he'd be physical reminder of a past we need to be vigilant never happens again..
