Status: offline 		We don't do the Dayton group, but are members of Sterling Shadow.  In all honesty PEER has waaay more problems than many of us want to deal with (ask me off the forum).

I've found a lot of dead links there, which is why I've resorted to spamming the board...

Status: offline 		There might not be one close to you. Pick a major city near you and google. Pick a couple major cities.

Failing that, go to polyamory or other queer-ish meetups--I know there's a poly group in Northwest Ohio (which is pretty BFE) from reading the union poly group LJ postings. There's a bit of overlap. Science fiction and LARP meetings are okay, too.

Finally, I know you're young, and living with your parents might be the best overall choice, financially, etc., but the more you can be responsible for yourself, the more independence you have, and the more you'll be able to make your own decisions. Particularly decisions related to sexual hobbies.

Status: offline 		I just recently joined a local BDSM group and I am very excited about getting involved. I cant believe I've been sliving in this city for a year and a half and there was an active group right here in my own backyard. But I am just thankful I'm getting involved now.

I would encourage everyone to go out there and do it. Sitting in front of the computer doesn't compair to interacting with real people.

dimes: yes i know that.. i will be moving out soon.. if not to college to my own apartment. now college will be a bit interesting because i am goign to a ... more religious school.. Mt Vernon. but i think it will help let me be me and not my parents.

i need/want to learn but its hard when im in the middle of no where living with my parents... any one else have this problem.. or something similar?

Status: offline 		I second the suggestion to join the Yahoo groups of BDSM organizations that are too far of a drive, and introduce yourself with your current location. You never know, you might find 5-10 others in your location and all of you decide to get together for dinner once a month and voila, a new munch.

Wiki got it pretty right but they forgot Fillbusters (now Joes On Juniper In Atlanta) :) that's where the original Headspace (Atlanta's first internet massive BDSM mailing and annoucement list got started in 1994).  I'm sure there are several other cities that did Burger Munches as well.

Status: offline 		it's called a munch because it's a safe place for people to meet, act like they are either Dom or sub/slave, fool others to believe it, talk talk talk and then they all go home with their facade in tact, never once having to prove they are who or what they are.

Status: offline 		Some colleges now have BDSM groups.  A friend of mine leads one here in Chicago.  If your school is religious though......?  Say, why are you going to such a religious school?  Just a question of curiosity...don't answer if it makes you uncomfortable.
