ok.. im sure this is a topic somewhere but i cant find it. im trying to get into my local BDSM comunity and idk if im jsut looking in the wrong places or if theres not one around me but.. i cant seem to find it. can any one help me.. plzz... i want to learn and i think the local cummunity would be a good place to start... H >:)

pretty easy, just type cities with the word munch, like Cleveland, Cinncinatti, Dayton. Or Ohio BDSM.

thnx for the links feastie. they at least tell me there is stuff around.. none in driving distance thou sadly. and i have lady L.. and i cant find any in my area... idk y but i cant. i must live in the middle of no where ohio i guess. H >:)

It all depends on your area...Power and Trust is a good group and if you're willin to drive to SE Michigan there's some good groups. As for ohioSMART...well...they don't allow cutting or needle play at all...and amoungst extreme is wax play...so do some research into what the groups are like as well.

When I pull up Ohio Leather Fest, I get some site selling leather coats and vests. About the only site I've had any luck accessing (and this was only yesterday) was OhioSMART out of Cleveland. I'm very sure the groups are out there, but it appears the real life communities are indeed difficult to access in Ohio. I could be wrong. One of the other problems you're going to have - at least for a while - is that most groups have lower end age limits of being 21 and over. At 18, you've got a wait ahead of you. I wouldn't give up though. Making the drive to Michigan or Cincinnati may seem like a long haul but one of the interesting things about doing so is that there are often people from Ohio (Toledo, Columbus, Cleveland areas) in attendance at functions here and that may end up being a nice side-ways entrance to what you're looking for. Before you make the drive though, be sure to check age limits - no matter where you go.It'll save you a lot of money and frustration. Good luck juliet

Rather than throwing darts at the entire state of Ohio, just where do you live, what reasonably large city is nearby, and how far is "too far to drive"? John

well, after hearing about the turmoil going on with the local munch group, i don't think it will last much longer. too much bickering going on and people at each others' throats over a minor mistake made by one of the members. it's tearing the group apart. so, i guess i won't be going to any more munches with this group. too childish.

I don't know where you are located in OH but when I lived in Columbus I attended some munches run by MORAL, that's Mid Ohio Roses and Leather...and they seemed like nice folks.

the closest city of any good siez would be either Marion, 20 miles or so, or Deleware, probably about the same length away. "to far to drive" depends on what my parents say on any given day.. there weird that way. if i had more friends with a simmilar life style id make my own ground but im a bit of an outcast around here.. at least i think i am.. no one else has been as open as i have been. thnc for the links and the advice.. ur helping some.. but im still haveing trouble finding anything much. H >:)

Go ahead and contact the groups in the bigger cities, and those father away... maybe you aren't the first from your area to get in touch with them.

Im sure those groups have yahoo groups, go to the group site, say "hey Im________ from ________. I would like to come to the munches. Would like to find out what closest one is to me" something to that effect. And yes you may have to do a fair amount of driving, but it is worth it. Maybe take a bus?? save up for a cab ride? (and then when you make some friends in the group, you could go with them.) Oh when you do get to the group site, find out who the hosts are, and tell them you will be coming, and when you arrive at the meet site introduce yourself. Hope this helps[:)][;)]

Hi folks-- Has anyone on the site attended a Dayton BDSM meeting recently? The site looks quite out of date. (I hear a lot about PEER Cincy, so I know they're active and about.) thanks and sorry for what may appear to be "too newbie" of a question!

[:)] well, that's the thing...it's not easy to get in with them as they all seem already set with eachother and i'm the outsider. they more seemed like a vanilla group trying to play D/s games...to me, at least.
