Corn is now hybrid. It's tweaked.
I don't know what that hybrid shit does but...it somehow keeps the weeds down, and while it does, I think it somehow makes more ozone.
It ain't real corn...but I only eat popcorn anyway...and all mine is made from my microwave...and I'm pretty sure that fucks up the ozone.
(I think that may also be good though...because for a while we were losing our ozone...now we're fixing our ozone hole...had something to do with hairspray as I recall...and I NEVER use hairspray while I'm making popcorn).
But CO2 (small 2) is increasing. That's bad. Comes from blowhards and cars. (And fewer trees).
I planted a few trees...but as I dig deeper...more people are cutting trees down. Everywhere.
I travel a bit...and everywhere I go, people are planting trees (in the US of course). Naturally, Americans are being chastised for causing all this "stuff" (even as the rest of the planet cuts all this shit down). I just recently purchased a book (by good ole' Gore himself), and it seems he's got a fairly decent handle on all this shit.
We're fucking things up.
Anyone can argue all the "Arctic vs Antarctic" shit they want (one is 10 feet thick, the other is 10,000 feet thick...one's adding...one's losing), but the net result is...when they both start dripping all their water...we're all in a big fishbowl of shit.
It doesn't even matter if the seas rise 10 inches, 10 feet, or 50 feet....
We're all fucked. It's not the end...it's just a time when we need to pay attention.
And it no longer...and doesn't even matter if...we caused it.
We're now a participant.

Look at the curve...look at the increase in global temperatures since 1940.
The curve...and incline is incontrovertible.
We can debate for the next thousand years that "well....just because it's gone up for the last 55 years...doesn't mean it'll continue!!!!"
Right.
Just like we can continue to debate that so long as we continue to put fewer police on the streets, crime will continue to go down...or like we can continue to debate that so long as we continue to allow kids to slip in their schooling...their grades will increase....
It ain't gonna happen.
If the global warming people are wrong....we'll be able to hand them their heads in 100 years and yell at them in the streets..."Nyah Nyah Nyah Nyah....."
But we can't any longer.
We just can't.
Most headlines hold the Republicans as those who insist this Global Warming thing is a farce.
Most headlines hold the Democrats as those who are certain...that we should at least talk about this.
