nyrisa -> new commitment in my life (7/29/2007 7:30:28 PM)

I can't believe I did this. After all my resolutions about taking things slow, about not letting anyone new into my life, about gaurding my heart, I really never expected I'd be posting anything like this....but hey, things happen.

We met today for the first time. I only knew the briefest history about him, and he knew nothing about me, but from the moment our eyes met, we just clicked. I told myself that I could just meet, and not play. Then, I told myself I could just play, just a little, and not commit. But within an hour of first meeting, the collar clicked shut, and I was caught. *smiles* But honestly, look at him, and tell me, could any of you have looked him in the eyes, and refused him anything? I hope you will wish us a long and happy life together.

I know, Popeye! It seems to be going around! *L* I bet my puppy would like your kitten; he already wants to play with my older dog and the cats, but I am only letting them get acquainted through the fence mesh right now, until he gets bigger and they get used to him. They seem excited about him, and have licked his nose and made playful gestures to him, but he's just a little small to challenge them for the food dish just yet. *L* They might not be so tolerant about sharing kibble with a new kid on the block.

Thank you, Seeks. *smiles* Good idea on the soda bottle. I am improvising toys until I can get to the store tomorrow. Yikes......I can see he will be taking a bite out of my wallet, right off the bat. *L*

popeye1250 -> RE: new commitment in my life (7/29/2007 7:49:09 PM)

I bought a new toy for the kitten.
It's a stick with a plastic thing on the end that when you move it makes chirping bird noises and it has some cloth strips about 12 inches long that the cat can chase.
It's now Bubba's new favorite toy and he's tearing the shit out of it!
I guess I'll have to get one of those plastic balls with a bell in it that the kitten can wack around.

DiurnalVampire -> RE: new commitment in my life (7/29/2007 7:52:15 PM)

OH how CUTE!
I miss having a dog, but Angel's allergies mean that Kitten is as close to a pet as I can keep while I have him.

LOL, next week I am going to post a picture of domiguy's butt lying across MzMia's knees,
and domiguy getting the paddling he wants and NEEDS. [:D]

Say there Popeye-- have you tried a laser pointer?  My cat would just about run through a wall to chase the evil red dot.

Yes, I have a lazer pointer but the kitten doesn't chase it yet.

Yes, I think that I may face some difficulties adjusting to the dynamics. It is so much easier for me with cats. Cats, after all, usually leave you in no doubt of which end of the TPE you are on. I find that I serve cats very well.

However, dogs are almost universally subs, I think, and I just don't know how to switch. Instead of having a very orderly life of service, as to a cat, with dogs I tend to just play, and laugh, and lose track of important tasks. I believe that my husband will have to be Dom, and the best I can hope for is to just be alpha. *smiles* Ahh.....if my cat lets me, that is.

Wow. One look in those eyes and I'd give him anything he wanted, too. - Susan

Great for kitty aerobics.  They'll do 50mph, I swear, all around the place.
