One of Sir's friends just called and wants me to dye his hair today to cover the grey in it. I've dyed my own hair countless times, but I dont have any grey to cover, does that make a difference with what stuff to buy? He says he's used the "just for men" and it doesnt cover the really grey areas around his temples. My Sir just shaves all his off...lol but his friend has a date with a girl half his age tomorrow and I guess he is nervous... Anyway, any suggestions on brands? Tips on how to get the grey covered well?

grecian formula and all that shit is FOR MEN.......think about it, you got time----- it HAS to be inanely fuckin' simple, or they wouldn't sell any of the shit I think you will get the gimmick the instructions will be like about 13 words, it ain't like a woman perming or shit like that, shower, rinse repeat........ grey can be really stubborn to cover - mine is, and that means leaving the color on longer, whether it's permanent or semi-perm. any chance you can talk him into not doing it? I think it looks really bad, esp when they have dark hair. most hair color companies have tel# helplines, you might have luck with them.

for what, the picture is wrong, must be lighting, the hair treatment would not require anything over what the ppm of chlorine is in city drinking water, I comb my hair with a damp washcloth for christsakes, I would shave my head, but you wouldnt tell much difference. And, I am to lazy, need a body slave for that, anyway.

J is naturally a medium brown, and a good bit of his hair is still its natural color...and he actually still has all his hair...unlike Ron over there...heh.... Its just above his ears where there is alot of grey...he's dyed it before and it just doesnt seem to last for very long....I dont think he should do it personally...but its his own choice I guess....of course, I also dont think he should be dating a chick half his age right now..but thats another topic

I kinda of think grey is sexy on a man...I hate when men color their hair too dark..that is just wrong in my opinon

Just asked my Mom's girlfriend who covers a lot of grey. Go to your local beauty supply store (like Sally's) and tell the clerk you need to cover grey. There is an additive that they sell that makes it cover better. But be warned, she says that it also makes it stain your skin more. They also sell some stuff that you can wipe it off if it gets on your skin. Not sure if they have different products for men specifically, I mean hair is hair right? I guess I'd ask...

thanks, and yea we were going to go to sally's this afternoon....I kinda think hair is hair too...I've always though the only difference between the hair color for women and the "just for men" is there is less in the bottle cause they generally have less hair to cover, but I may be wrong...

my cuz has been gray since about 25 years old......she swears by the dark n lovely sold at sallys......said its the only thing that covers her gray completely........maybe ask them about that.....

For what it's worth, obvious hair coloring on men is pretty un-sexy to me. I'm much more attracted to a guy who accepts who he is and works with that than one who tries to be what he ain't. Hypocritical, yes, because I color my own hair. But there's a difference between trying to look younger and trying to look better. I'm not trying to look younger so I can bag a younger guy. (That would be a nice benefit, but it's not the goal, heh) Plus, ladies who are dating an older guy are likely dating him because he IS older. Why panic about some grey temples? But anyway, maybe explain to the guy in question here that no hair color lasts more than a few weeks. It's just something he'll have to do once a month or every six weeks or so. Also, ask him what shampoo he uses. Make sure he uses one for color-treated hair, it might help him get another week or two out of a package of color.

I have used Just for Men to cover the gray for a former sub of mine, it worked great, he loved the results, but erin's suggestion sounds pretty good. Also if you go to Sally's Beauty Supply store, or other such supply carrier, you could in addition to picking up a hair color kit, purchase one of those temporary brush on hair color sticks. Those little brush on colors works in a situation where you just need to cover a small amount of hair in a pinch. It would work great for covering temple hairs for date night. [:)] Rosa

That's all about the marketing, so they sell the product. Men are more likely to buy a product "for men" than one made for ladies. It keeps their masculinity in check [;)]

In my 30s my hair started turning grey and becoming increasingly thin. I always joked about it being a race between the two. My solution was just keep it short which I thought looked pretty good. Well at some point when I was approaching 40 I did the typical man thing and wanted to look younger than I was. I went to the store and bought a reddish brown dye since I figured it was closest to my natural color. I tried my best to follow the directions. The result was I dyed my head (not my hair) a bright RED. So my attempt to look 20 resulted in me looking like an aging Bozo The Clown with a bad scalp condition lol. Lesson learned. I got over thinking I needed to look younger than I was. Men can be so stupid!

lol..came4u..I would LOVE to hook you up with this guy, because I honestly believe you are what he needs...but he is on the search for the 18 year old virgin....silly man....doesnt he know they dont exist anymore? He got hurt a few times and now believes he needs someone with no baggage he can train from the ground up...all I want to do is slap the guy upside the head while im dyeing it
