HeatherDawn49 -> how does one send a complaint to the directors of collarme? (7/25/2007 3:13:42 PM)

I have found a number of people on this site who at first state they are looking for what one list in their profile. then after a number of days they state that we are sick and have a number if things (all bad) to say about us. these people are only here to abuse us mentaly and verbaly. collarme should have a link where these people can be reported directly. can anyone point me in the right direction to lodge such a complaint? thank you all for your help.

Well there are lots of links to "moderators" on the site, so look for that.

But what exactly is wrong with someone posting an opinion in their profile as long as it's not a direct slander or outing of a particular individual?  I mean it's kinda useless to come to a site like this and then proclaim that we suck, but it's not at all new or surprising that people think that and they are certainly entitled to that opinion, even here.

If you are so easily abused that a random online stranger's opinion about a particular group of people makes you feel like a victim, then maybe an adult alternative lifestyle isn't right for you.

There is an option to "Report Profile" below the content in the short-form profile you're viewing (the step prior to "view full profile").

They only abuse you if you let them!

block them? delete their messages? and if you find their opinion affecting you too much, theres this option on the front of your computer, its called a power button, press it until they go away...

Why not just ignore them?

I understand that you feel betrayed --you thought you had found a safe harbour here.
I hope you will accept this suggestion and not view it as a criticism.
There are jerks "out there" and there are jerks here too. It would be nice if everyone here was patient and tolerant and approached us w/o hidden agendas...however, as much as I personally wished that were the case, it isn't.
My suggestion to you is to slow down a little or alot, take time to get the lay of the land so-to-speak and take your time in getting to know someone.
Figure out what your personal comfort zone is and stick to that...if people start talking about what they want from you or want to discuss interests right away...you might want to be cautious of them... .
I understand many people don't want to waste time on cyber relationships...but you are new here, so take your time and get acclimated.
be gentle with yourself but remember that if you are doing something and it just isn't working for you...you can try a diff aproach.

........ when one cares enough to send the very best.

Jeff

Edited to add:  You know, along with your complaint letter, you should ask for your money back.  And get mine back for me, too, would you?

*giggles*  If I had a dollar for everyone that was rude to me, called me names, etc. from here, I would not need a job.  I have also found some really great friends here.  You take the good with the bad and realize it's just like the real world, there are nice people, there are liars, and there are those that are getting their kicks messing with you.  Like everyone said, just take your time, get used to the losers, and if you are really sensitive, maybe this isn't for you.

Unfortunately here as in everyday life there are people who get some type of perverse satisfaction in harassing others. This site is no different thaen any others. One must have to use discretion in weeding out the idiots and at the same time, develop a thicker skin. As the pther posters mentioned, if a person is continually harassing you, use the report a profile on the home page.

"We are sick"....who is the 'we'?  All of us on CM?  Odd, I've never been labelled as "sick" as part of this group (yes, I've been individually called a "sick fuck" and I'm DAMNED proud of it!).  Ditto the "bad things to say about 'us'.

If you are posting on behalf of a group, let us know who you all are.  Are you posting on behalf of all preoperative TS?  All people from Missouri (Show Me!).  Do you have a mouse in your pocket?

In fact, CM is filled with rude people.  And stupid people.  And caring people and brilliant people and yadda yadda...it is a free internet site that costs you NOTHING but time.  If someone smacked your cookies (thank you, Ron) and you don't like it, please, don't whine.

By the way, I don't believe there are "directors" of CM.  I think it is an autonomous collective...or else an unconstitutional monarchy.  I knew once, but I forgot.

If someone is harassing you, block him or her.

If a profile bugs you, wince and try to remember to skip it next search. Blocking may actually cause the profile not to appear--I'm not sure.

I know that people can be irritating, and the behavior you described would briefly annoy me, too. But I want the moderators and staff of Collarme to spend their time working on bigger problems, and I imagine you probably do as well.

You should demand a refund!

SimplyMichael -> RE: how does one send a complaint to the directors of collarme? (7/25/2007 7:07:32 PM)

Grow the fuck up.  If "we" demanded that people either act more like mature fully functioning adults, or stay away, the "scene" would be a hell of a lot nicer place to be.

Lots of nuts, not enough squirrels on this tree. It is no different here as anywhere else, any nutball can go to a cancer site to heckle and not much anyone can do about it. Even jeep lovers go to VW sites to diss people. If someone claims we are sickoz then sweeeeeeeeeeet, nice to know I have a label other than 'the lady who don't pay her bills' lol.

Ignore em.
