The only way for you to calm down is to go to the public library and get a copy of the Koran. Once you have read through it, you will see for yourself that it's in no way more inflammatory than the Old Testament.

If there's a holy war, I have missed it: there is a war going on. But no war is ever holy, and that you should choose to describe it as such speaks to me of your naivety.

Muslims aren't 'schooled' to believe that they have to get rid of non-Muslims. As a matter of fact, Islam recognises that Jews and Christians believe in the same God as them.

The facts are out there, ELUSIVE. Go and check them out... for the sake of your sanity, at least.

He was born Muslim and raised for his first few formative years in a Muslim state--if you think me calling anyone a 'Muslim' is hate-mongering then who is full of 'predjudice' now---I HAVE NEVER used 'Muslim" a 'smear' I mearely stated I choose not to vote for anyone with those core beliefs...

But that is not his "core belief". It isn't. Not. Is not.

...ahhh, ignorance. First off, the phrase 'yer actual' is an old idiom in UK english. It denotes the original or source material. Being unaware of idioms is one thing, making assumptions based on ignorance is another. Added to your assumption based on Obama's background, it would appear that this is an error you are prone to.
You make an interesting assumption when you suggest that the environment that one is raised in will inevitably become the environment one wishes to see as an adult, even if as an adult one has rejected it. When faced with strong stimuli like that most people take one of two positions, rejction or acceptance. Obama appears to have rejected that environment, as his christian stance suggests. To believe otherwise is to utterly reject the concept of redemption. Now what was that about studying theology?

As to this military misadventure being a Holy War, may i direct you to the other thread that shows the minority of Muslims who condone violence is shrinking. Now, all we need is another survey that shows the minority of ignorant christians who support violence is shrinking and perhaps we wont have a Holy War in the future......or are you one of those 'end-timers' who actually want war?
