i got blocked for the first time today... it was one of those things where he was like "i'm gonna say nasty things and then block you" and his catch phrase... one i haven't heard in a long time "Like I Care?" it made me laugh. some men (SOME MEN... not ALL MEN) are such wimps it happens everywhere... but i just really think its funny... to prevent someone's defense (though i must admit, i am beyond that now) you just simply block them... oh well... i must admit, i have a habit of blocking people before i even converse with them... so as to PREVENT conversations with people who i have no desire to talk to... doubtful any of those have even bothered to attempt to message me. i just think its so funny... anyway... do you block people? do you make it a point to NOT block people? whats your take on that? in addition... how come when i decide i dont like someone (mostly the males who do this) they call me nasty names and say mean things... it happens every time. the most commonly used name after i express disinterest in someone is "psychotic" (maybe its because i'm psychotic to not be madly in love with them from the second they grace me with their presence... ha) does this happen to other people? is it my age group? (i'm 21) whats the story? btw i've come to the conclusion that its not me... its them... HAHA

That happens to me as well, like i told him and he can't tell me back ,bullshit smiles,and yes many wimps here on collar me that lets theses so called dommes walk all over them..have a wonderful day..bounty

Yes I've blocked some people just because they are to ignorant to be bothered with. I think what is even whimper is when they send you a message under another name then delete the username so you cannot message them back. lol ~Lashra

It's not you or your age group. I use my block button a lot. My goal here is education and entertainment. When someone gets in the way of one of those I simply click the button and my problem is solved. [:)] Celeste

I have not blocked anybody, and to my knowledge I have only been blocked once on the email side, and I think once on this side...but then again this is just the times people have told me they are blocking me

I've been blocked on the e-mail side, someone told me I should be gangbanged in an alley (whatever happened to "hello" as an introduction?) so I told them what I thought, then they blocked me.. lol I don't THINK i've been blocked on the forums....

Not really so much anymore. I made a profile that isn't exactly attractive- was sure to leave out a pic 'n such. When I've looked before, yes, I do quite a bit of blocking. High standards, and not a significant percentage that seems to meet them- some become a bit upset when you tell them that they're just not what you're looking for. To be honest, from your post.. it sounds like someone said you weren't what they're looking for, and you got, for lack of more kind terms, bitchy. Though that's only a guess of what happened. It's supported by the "i just think its so funny..." Incase the case is such, I would suggest letting the ego down and realizing not everyone will be interested. Anyhow, good luck looking.

Oh, it is not just your age group, in fact the nastier emails are from much older men. I block anyone who acts disrespectful, rude, stupid or too tenacious and I am not interested. Like Lashra said, the best is when someone you blocked writes from a new location to get the last word in. It's Like SO immature, LOL (tongue firmly in cheek)

I make a point not to block anyone. I believe that everyone has something to teach. Even the negative. No one save myself is responsible for how words may cause me to feel and no one else has that power. I simply do not converse or respond if I do not wish to or do not prefere to. But all words are important - even those that seem pointless at that particular time. Peace the.dark.

no... it was someone who sent me an email out of the blue telling me i was ugly... i had never even seen them online and only looked at their profile after the email was received... i would have never messaged him... wasn't at all interested... he was like "yay random insult" and then block...

Ahh, gotcha. My apologies for misinterrepting the situation. Hah. It is kind of funny, though. Sounds like a bit of an idiot, but a laughable one. I suppose they're the better kind.

which is why i was kinda laughing at the situation... its humerous when people do stupid things... sometimes i even laugh at myself when i do stupid things... (i'm getting better at it) yeah... idk... it was just funny to me to see someone do that... i'd heard about it, but never witnessed it first hand... it might have made me angrier like a week ago, but i think i grew up yesterday or something... suddenly its not offensive. its funny. i think thats the weirdest part about the situation... that it doesn't bother me to be called ugly or anything... i know who i am... and those negative characteristics aren't who i know myself to be :)

Don't let it bother you... I've received countless such messages. My guess is that the individuals doing the insulting view the CM profiles to be something like a beauty contest wherein they are the judges. It must give them some perverse sense of power to be able to hand down their judgements and I would imagine they enjoy the idea that someone else might actually care about their opinion. Thing is, by blocking I believe they show clearly that they lack the self-confidence to risk hearing back that their insults matter not one iota. Seems pretty pathetic all the way around to me.

Some people get too personal and call people names/ Flame other members in here against T.O.S. Most times a Moderator will step in and tell them to cool it. Sometimes they get nasty and you just have to block them. If it reaches that point who wants to talk to them anyway?

i've never felt the need to block anyone... i don't seem to attract as much e-drama as some. I guess that I'm an equal opportunity block-ee, females as well as males, lol. [:D] However, I have rarely blocked anyone, I just ignore them or delete unread. [;)]

I'm guilty of using my block button quite often. Some people are just obnoxious. I've learned that when getting mail like that, a simple I'm not interested response usually Infuriates them and turns into an ordeal. So to simplify things people who send me messages that are completely out of line simply get blocked. To my knoledge I've never been blocked.

I suspect you get several orders of magnitude more messagery than I do, but there is occasional joy in baiting the trolls. I block boring people, the psychopathically persistant, and senders of poorly written 'kneel bitch' messages if I'm not feeling malevolent. (I always fancied being a matador, and with schmucks .. you don't have to feel bad for the bull :P)
