It will most likely involve partitioning Iraq into 3 states or separate countries. How that shakes out is yet to be known. We may not be able to contain the civil war,and we`d only be targets for both sides anyway.[/quote]

If anyone is stupid enough to actually implement this (and this is not directed at anyone, this has been bandied about more than once) you might just as well shoot your children, parents and relatives.  We have already supplied reason enough for Jihadis to visit terror on us for generations.  Chrisitains breaking up Islamic countries is not gonna be a saturday night at the movies kinda evening.

Believe it or not....not the same as the political split of countries.

Certainly not what I meant.Us imposing anything on them is foolish.Weather that be a one state affair,or a three state deal,or whatever. This is something they and the regional countries will have to sort out.I was speculating. One thing`s for sure, bush has been a bad faith player, and they don`t trust his judgment.bush won`t have anything to do with the resolution of this mess.

Unfortunately, but it is the way of the middle east, the only thing that has a chance of resolving and stabilizing this situation is another Saddam Hussein, coulda used the old one, would have been less bloodshed, but we cakked him without thinking.

And THAT is why "Nation Building" is not a delegated authority to the US Government.
