Hi, I know this isnt really the right forum for this, but I dont happen to belong to any forums where it is the right place for this question and Im hoping there are enough people here that might be able to answer it. Say Sir and I were thinking about finding a local swinging group, how would we go about it? Say we arent really sure we even want to do this, do swingers have things like munches where you can meet people without the pressure of being expected to do anything? Are there places to go to talk to other swingers, find out their thoughts on everything and see if it really is something we'd like to try first?

I never had any luck at any type of "Munch." Too many runaways from Weightwatchers at those events. Try some venue that doesn't involve food.

Join AdultFriend Finders, they're "swinger oriented", and I think you can search out local groups through their site.

Go into any local 'adult' book store and ask for the local swinger's magazine. Inside are advertisements for local groups. Want to keep it on-line? Here's a site to start: http://www.swingtowns.com/clubs/ They have GREAT conventions. The Vegas one, run by the "Lifestyles" group is unbelievable. We went a couple years ago. There is a small, but very active, group of WIITWD people who also attend. http://lifestyles-conventions.com/www/index.php It will be held at the Tuscany on August 8-12. Still not too late to go. Obviously these are VERY friendly people. ENJOY!

If all else fails, Look up Georgia Swingers groups on yahoo adults groups. This is just me but I prefer to do my swinging in the bdsm,pagan and sci-fi/fantasy crowds.

Some cities and states have clubs you can try some dont but an online site that My husband and I have had some luck with www.swinglifesyle.com In general an "off premiss" swingers club will be way less presure and in your face then an "on premiss" swingers club

says dryly and all heart popeye. Personally I love going to my local munches. GA snickers why do you think I like them? Seriously though swingers in those groups tend not to think I am crazy when I mention my other interests.

Sheesh, leave it to popeye to figure out a way to bring weight into a thread about swinging.[&:] I have talked to a few that I met on www.swinglifestyle.com , it's free so that gives you a lot of choices, but you have to weed out the wankers. Maybe you could just meet a couple for drinks or something and see how you felt afterward. There wouldn't be the pressure you might feel at a bigger event or a swingers club. We have talked about doing this, I am just not sure it's for us right now. Good luck. Sin
