Here we go again!
*ANOTHER* "Peace Treaty in the Middle East!!!
Ah,.....how many have there been so far?
Let's see, Reagan, Carter, Clinton (1 or2?) and now Bush?
And guess what? Bush wants to fleece the U.S. Taxpayers and give $190 million of OUR Taxdollars to Palestinians!
Firstly, why are we getting involved in this? The Israelis and Palestinians need to "make peace" not the U.S.
And whether they make peace or war why are we giving them our money?
This is like an ongoing scam; "Hey, let's "make peace" and screw the Americans out of more money!"
Well, I'll be on the phone to the Congressman again tommorow!
"No MONEY!!!"

I say we just let them all go to war and may the best civilization win...

Historically, that is the only way disputes like this have been settled.

190 Million? Might be the CHEAPEST idea Monkey-Boy came up with so far!

monkey boy....

I used to call him that and I was shouted down by both his right-wing cheerleading squad AND people who resented my continuing insults at simians.

Why I switched to AnencephalyBoy.  When those with neural tube defects complain, I will find a different moniker.

I think I am going to avoid those simian groups and move to lobotomy boy.... it seems to fit the intelligence and thinking capacity... and we both know those lobotomized wont complain

However as for peace.. no wonder he thinks it can be done... the rational parts are gone or dead

Editted to add thoughts on the peace attempt in the middle east.

It's not "they". Not "them". Not "we". Not "us". People aren't united on these things. Don't even use the word "people" in such a way unless you can be sure you're able to keep it straight in your head that "people" refers to many different types of things than one commonality.

Hrm, letting a neural tube defect President use 190 million taxpayer dollars to overcome his learning curve?

I fail to see the relationship to a baby learning to walk.

I dont know how much you have read about his life history, Lothlauren, but a pretty good case could be made
to suggest he was not born with a functioning brain to lobotomize.

LOL.... fortunately for me, I had other things I had to read. That is a statement that I can not find any point to argue against the fact that he believes the way he does proves it.

I was in Eastern Canada a few years ago, Lothlauren, and the neighbors at the cottage I was at started to trash him, then looked embarrassed because they were picking on the American President.  I pointed out that nothing they could say would insult me because any good impressions I might have ever had of that person were and are not detectable by modern scientific methods.  I simply pointed out that the fact that a slight majority of voters (assuming there was no election fraud) thought he was capable of being put in charge (of anything) was a source of considerable embarrassment for me.

One thing I love about Canadians, they are so wonderfully polite.

Sinergy

p.s.  Oddly enough, the Canadians I have known thought the same thing about me.

I must say that I have never left Canada, far too much to see and do up here before I go wandering around in other countries trying out new things.

I do try to pay attention to world events, and discerning differences between cultures. Fortunately for me that Canada is the cultural cook pot that it is. I have found that every culture has representatives from every aspect of its culture, the good, the bad and the ugly. For the most part the people I have had the fortune of meeting from abroad in real life were polite, well mannered, considerate and endeavoured to put forth the best impression possible. I am sure you would fall into this category. Honestly its the home grown people that make me cringe, the ones who think not much farther than their corner store and beer shop, or its cultural equivalent for those visitors I would venture to guess.

That is one aspect of the internet that I will always enjoy and that is its ability to bring people thousands of miles apart together in a dialogue, sometimes humourous, sometimes angry, sad etc...

I think I have gone on far enough but think you understand my point.

I have lived and been a lot of places in my life, Lothlauren.

I try to go native when I am where I am, with varying degrees of success.

I do find the manners and politeness tend to end up with better outcomes than my being an ugly american.

Scroll up with a backquote? As a matter of fact, it's in this post, too, as a backquote. You said, "Yea I think thats the approach they use with their suicide bombers". Now, if you meant "they" as the suicide bombers, my point could be taken as mistaken in basis.

Nonetheless, if this was the case, you said, "Yea I think thats the approach [the suicide bombers] use with their suicide bombers", which does not strike me as an overly coherent idea.

You forgot groups...

Which makes me wonder how selective your reading is.
