Status: offline 		There is nothing I hate more then when men try to scare women into believing that the woman is nothing and is worthless without the man... That no other man that would possible want those women because they are so ugly or fat or worthless and that those women should be grateful that they have what they have... Not just in the D/s world but in the vanilla world too...  
 
Ladies stand up for yourselves, because truly it is that man that is NOTHING without you and he is TRULY the lucky one...

I really can't stand the bossy, bitchy, know it all women that top from the bottom while insulting the word slave by applying it to their selves, either. Oh, and morbidly obese women that can't realize that obesity is not beautiful but nauseating. Then there are those women that think somehow that their need to submit is some sort of wonderful gift, but can't grasp the simple fact that what the dominant offers in return is just as valuable and precious, a true completion of a circle rather than a gift of any sort.

Yep, narrow minded, self centered, oblivious to the obvious, one sided people like these really rub me the wrong way!

Few are going to argue the point that an abusive sig other is not an unhealthy and wrong choice. Your kick the jerk's groin and pat the lass' head is extremely myopic to say the least, however. Instead of patting her head, you should be shaking her by the shoulders until the head rattles, because it is her SELF-INDUCED negative image that lets such assholes thrive in the first place. Imagine some jerk trying this to an assertive, well-grounded woman.

Status: offline 		No one can convince someone of something if they are already convinced the opposite is true. There are needy people that feel they are nothing without a relationship, and there are those that are just mean, nasty, and cruel enough to agree with them... No one's opinion can be more important than your own.

It is sad that there are victims and those who are only too happy to victimize them... and it does hurt to be insulted and denigrated by someone that you have placed your trust. But if a person knows deep in their heart they can go it alone and it is better to be alone than to compromise themselves then the abusive person loses their power completely...

The key is healthy boundaries, and those willing to be stepped on unfortunately lack them... but alas all is not lost, they can always learn how to draw them if they work really hard on their art skills

Status: offline 		Oh of course it can happen both ways, but lets face it, it happens to women more... There is a woman that i have been talking to and here is an exaple of our conversation...

...yes, i've tried to talk to Him, His answer is that He just wants to see what happens...i've stumbled on some intimate chats, he's said that the chats are with women he knew before, but they say different, they also said that they were told that he is single and lives alone.   i feel bad that they are led on and don't realize that it's like a game...i'm 52, i have medical issues, not so easy to just walk away.

Do you notice how this propetuates the struggle, just trying to shift it to one side, instead of getting rid of it? Now you want women to be more confident, and men to be more easily abused. Then, in other areas, it'll shift back. Then forth.

Encourage people, regardless of gender, to have some self-respect. To understand others have their own. And to understand that, when this can't be mutually respected, that the contact should be broken off.

If you truly want to help anyone, break the cycle.

Hmmmm.  Isn't this "beating" the man "down?".  Sorry, couldn't resist that. 

It's a very complex issue when two people are in a relationship where one demeans or belittles the other into believing they are worthless and couldn't get anyone better.  It does work both ways and isn't always the female who is on the receiving end of such treatment.  Either way, it can be very damaging. 

On the other hand, there are some people who find themselves in a string of such relationships.  Not to "blame the victim" but after awhile one has to notice that the common denominator in all the "bad" relationships is him/her self.  Choosing (and even seeking out) the "wrong" type of partner and then settling for abusive treatment can only be placed in the lap of the one doing it - not the partner.  Just something to think about..........luci

A few thoughts.
 
1) Some women ARE ugly and/or fat and/or useless.  Claiming otherwise is kinda .. goofy. Not everyone is Jenna Jamison or Kate Winslet or Salma Hayak or Sofia Loren. (or insert your physical ideal here)
 
2) I disbelieve that either sex is 'nothing' without the other. That rather sounds like 'ism' talking.
 
3) Isn't your post beating down men?
 
4) People, as individuals, standing up for their own dignity and rights (so long as they aren't in a relationship dynamic in which they have knowingly and thoughtfully surrendered such), is a good thing. It shouldn't be restricted to either sex.

Hog wash, woman!!!

There is nothing worthless about the ugly and fat...They have played a pivotal role in the making of this society. 
They are as much of a part of the American landscape as hookers and the homeless.

Who would our brave soldiers to turn to,when on leave, if they are out of hooker dough and need a quick poke?

How would we even begin to notice or worship the beautiful and trim if there were not those beautifully and slender impaired others  that would allow us to make such comparisons and contrasts?

Without the ugly and fat what would Oprah talk about?  Would Dr Oz willingly have his head shoved so deeply up the big O's  ass if they did not exist?

Where you see worthlessness, I see extreme value...But perhaps, I'm not as shallow as many.
