Count me among those Masters that want a brand.

I attended a 30th wedding anniversary where both partners got the same brand. His wason his bicept. Hers was the center of her chest.

That is devotion. On both parts.

p.s. I like the idea of etchings to. Or cuttings.

Sidenote to Voldemort- Listen to Bailey. She knows what she's talking about!!

Now, back to my post-
Hey, Y'all-
Since my last post I've had some time to really think about what a collar is to me at this point, what symbolism it holds. I see it as something beyond a wedding ring (which I hold great regard for) because it is beyond union. The whole M/s thing is irrelevant to me. Just titles. It's the action (and reaction) that is at the heart of the whole matter. In other words (that may or may not match the ones I just typed) I feel that a collar that represents a TPE is beyond any piece of leather or metal. As for play collars and all that, they would just be symbolism of my submission at that particular time. I don't really see a gray area between the play collars and THE collar. I see them as distinctly different.
Anyhoo- my opinion on this may change at any time as I learn more and more.
As Always

I ask because someone brought up this point to me (and i paraphrase):
collar=owned owned=slave

A collar can be worn by a submissive....she does not need to be in a Master/slave relationship...my question is ....when we start judging who can wear what and when ...why don't we all just live in "our" relationships and not worry about how or why "jane" got collared.

Well there are different ceremonies and views all over the world about this. I've heard different subs say there is an important destinction here and that a sub has more rights to protest their treatment than a slave. The conclusion I have always drawn is that this type of sub is not submissive. Too bad castle realm isnt there they had a lot on this subject. I tried to access it for the first time in a couple years and got sent to some porn site. For mine I require total submission but then sometimes am overly permissive...I use a bastrardized ceremony from some Gor book I read. It just seemed very proper to me...Mike
