I recently met a couple off of collarme and I was very pleasantly surprised to find that not only is the sex fun, they're very cool people who I enjoy spending time with outside of play dates.  It's good to see that there are normal people on this site to be found amidst the weirdos I primarily seem to get messages on.

lol.  I don't believe in the concept of normal.  Glad to hear that you have met people you can connect with. hopefully you continue to find them

I agree, those I have met from Collarme are fine people and normal in their own weird way.

But what is 'normal'?

Those outside of the lifestyle might consider those of us in it as abnormal.

I understand what you mean though and good luck with your friendship.

I would say normal is:
-Being socially well-adjusted (as opposed to people who generally awkward or socially uncooth)
-Dressing in general popular fashion (as opposed to people who wear all black, baggy clothes with flames on them, or look like they worship anime characters.)
-Having good grooming (as opposed to oddly grown facial hair or magical-unicorn-kingdom RPG haircuts)
-Lacking extreme "other" quirks that put oneself outside the general mainstream (like, "Oh, by the way, I worship the tree goddess and commune with the earth spirits").

And please, before I get nuked with outrage, I'm not making a judgement of whether any of these things are good/bad or superious/inferior, just what I think defines oneself as "into bdsm but still normal."

The only definition I have for normal that works for me is " being able to function reasonably well within society", lol.

That doesn't include criminals leading double-lives. They're just living a lie that could end them up in jail, and that means they're not functioning very well at all. ;)

But who knows.. I'm realizing that I just don't too much in common with CM posters here. That happens sometimes.

I am fairly adjusted socially. I have a small group of friends, most of which I have had since childhood, and a large group of acquaintances. Some elements of society tend to not appreciate my tendency to speak my mind without regard to other peoples feelings. Not quite sure when honesty went out of style.

I mainly wear black. I like black, I look good in black, and I refuse to take fashion advice from a world that gave us disco, mullets, and Paris Hilton.

I wear my hair long, but keep it clean. My facial hair is carefully sculpted, not oddly grown.

I don't worship trees, but have a healthy respect for them, especially while driving. Don't really care if anyone worships trees because unlike some other things people are prone to worshiping, at least we can actually see the trees.

Does this make me abnormal? Don't know, don't care.

Now that we know there are "normal" people here, someone please tell me where are the "real" people?
