You're welcome.  But it's the last laugh that counts, Sugar.

I hope so.  Looks like the only hope of straightening out the current mess is *gulp* a friggin' republican, Ron Paul!  I've never voted in a primary, nor have I ever had "party" affiliation, but going to *ouch, this kills Me to admit it* register Republican this year.  God help us all if that idiot Romney get is, ditto, Hillary, who sold out to big insurance companies for $800k, as did bush

I could support Ron Paul,he`s a moderate and has integrity.Probably the reason why he won`t win his party`s nomination. If he was president,at least I wouldn`t have to worry that he`d start WWIII,like I do now.

Peace

Good grief, not even the NY Times is buying this crap.

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/07/12/us/politics/12giuliani.html?_r=1&oref=slogin

quote:

In a video that is by turns emotional, scathing and at times factually questionable, the nation’s largest union of firefighters is appealing to its members across the country not to support the Republican presidential candidacy of former Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani

Though the video is addressed to firefighters, the union, a frequent supporter of national Democratic candidates, has posted it on Google and YouTube in efforts to reach a broader public as well. The video is largely an echo of blame that some New York firefighters have long placed on Mr. Giuliani for a number of circumstances on Sept. 11, afterward and even beforehand.
...

Some of the video’s assertions are at the very least subject to debate. There is no dispute, for instance, that there were communications failures on Sept. 11. But the video highlights the hand-held radios, whereas the central problem, most experts agree, was the failure of a device meant to boost the signal so that it could reach the high floors of the towers.

The video also implies that Mr. Giuliani was more concerned about securing some $200 million in gold stored in a basement vault at the World Trade Center than in recovering the remains of the dead, an accusation widely dismissed by people who closely monitored the cleanup.

Rudy and the FF union had been at each other's throats long before 9/11.

BFD.

Good, good ,..keep doing that.I want that phony to win the nomination.

"Rudy and the FF union had been at each other's throats long before 9/11"

True, they were trying to get the right radios,.... since the 1st WTC attacks!!!Helloooo!?!
There`s no explaining this away, well ...maybe  a bush supporter will swallow the bull pucky, but not thinking people.

And he never got them till after 2001,and the list goes on.I bet you`re not from NY.The farther from the city one gets, the more popular rudy gets.

He`s no hero.

As for the NY Times?  Whatever.....

A special thanks...

Rudy`s in 1st place in collecting campaign cash.I appreciate the hard work his supporters are doing and their contributions.I dream about a Republican ticket,w/ Rudy at the top of it.

Keep up the good work, and don`t listen to those awful people telling stories about him.<tongue in cheek>

Peace

You overlook the obvious Gore/Clinton ticket.

Al pushes for "Awareness" of his pet issue from now until it's time to announce, and then BAM! Everyone else get out of the pool.

Clinton/Gore ticket (or Gore/Clinton) combined with a Democrat congress will set the Democrats up for a complete derailment in 2010 and 2012. Although everyone hates the neo-con Bush administration.....you can't even imagine how much government is going to expand under a Clinton/Gore ticket.

That`s not actually true and we don`t have to imagine. There was a Clinton/Gore ticket, lol, and they reduced the size of government, and made it more efficient, did more w/ less, created a surplus and had a balanced budget all 8 years! Though painted as  tax and spend liberals,Clinton(Bill)/Gore were more Conservative ,than the Conservatives,ha-ha.
Republicans dream of having a record like that.<chuckle>

Your doom and gloom predictions, about a Democratic congress and white house, is boiler plate republican non-sense.After the Republican controlled congress and white house  that we just had,the Dems could only do better. At least congress would do there jobs, like oversight and  defending the constitution.

Peace

luckydog1 -> RE: Rudy's Campaign is OVER, People! (7/16/2007 12:27:15 AM)

So now we are pretending that Clinton had a balanced budet in all 8 of his years?  I guess this a fantasy site....

Your right we do not have to imagine, we had a dem president, a dem House, and a dem senate for 2 years, which resulted in a solid  Republican Congress for 12 years.  After the Reps took over the budget did get pretty close to balanced.  911 was pretty damn expensive though.  We now have a Dem house and senate, yet their ratings are lower than Bushes....

The credit, or blame for the economy, goes to the president, sorry.lol

That`s the way that it`s scored, and has been, sense the beginning of the republic.Look at all the "credit" bush is claiming,...for this "boom" economy<chuckle>.You can`t take the credit, and run from bad news too(unless you`re a republican).
***********************

So tell us,how many balanced budgets did Clinton have?

And, how many balanced budgets did Regan have? How many balanced budgets did Bush Sr. have? How many balanced budgets has george bush jr given us?Remember,we have google and can check facts, lol.

(hint-the answer to the 2nd part,is zero,none,nana)

Defending bush ,must be a real mind fuck. But WTF are you going to do?He`s your man.<chuckle>
