SAN DIEGO - In a surprise victory for Wal-Mart Stores Inc., the City Council on Tuesday failed to override the mayor’s veto of a ban on some big-box stores in the nation’s eighth-largest city. when i get crappy goods that dont last- i return then TO WALMART. one item i was too late- i told them- to keep it- as i dont wish to pay the disposal fee on it- and walked out.

Since the City Council didn't override the veto, Wal-Mart, which was formerly banned, is no longer. (Yeah, lots of negative-ish stuff to follow.)

City Council attempted to over ride the veto and reaffect the ban. They deadlocked and thus the mayoral veto is still in effect allowing for a SuperWalmart to be built in my oh so lovely city soon.
