This just in from the AP, July 8th 6:40 EDT.  Anitwar Mother and Activist Cindy Sheehan as made a statement that if Democrate House Speaker Nancy Pelosi does not by July 23rd start  impeachment  proceding against President Bush, she will run against Pelosi in 2008.  In a statement by Sheehan "Democrates and Americans feel betrayed by the Democratic Leadership".  Finally some good news!

She lost me when she traveled down and hugged the dictator of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez...

She has been exploited to hell and back by the far left anti-war movement. Her other children have disowned her, and her husband has divorced her. Casey would be ashamed what at what she has done.

Well, I dont think Sheehan actually wants to be a Congresswoman, she is just trying to light a fire under Pelosi's keister to do the job the citizens of this country put her in position to do.

The amusing thing is that Pelosi's dithering might allow Sheehan to get elected to represent San Francisco county.

As far as your comments about her family, cyberdude611, unless you have also lost a child due to somebody else's idiocy, I imagine you dont have any frame of reference to understand her state of mind.  If you dont like her, dont vote for her, but neither of us have any idea what went on in her personal life.

Hehehehehe....   I needed a good grin this afternoon.  Hell, I might send her $5 as a campaign donation.  The Dems didn't even kiss her after all the exploitation.

One of Casey's sisters was on CNN several months back saying how far apart Casey and his mom were when it came to politics. Casey was a catholic and a hardcore Republican that supported George Bush and the war. He said before he left for his tour in Iraq that he felt that god was calling for him to go to Iraq. He also joined the military despite his mother's objection.

This is supposed to be about Casey. And from what we have heard from his family and friends, he would not have approved of what his mother is doing.

I am certain she feels great anger towards the government for the loss of her son. But if I died defending America and then my mother ran to hug a rising dictator in a 3rd world hell-hole who cares nothing about freedom, I swear I will come back from the grave and haunt her for the rest of her life. I can't think of anything that would dishonor me more than that.

Cindy Sheehan has as much chance of beating Pelosi as Dick Cheney has of running a marathon.

Casey mighta been a Catholic.....but at the age of twenty-two, there ain't no way in hell he could have gained the historical perspective to understand what it means to be a hardcore Republican.

Be-it controlling spending, limited government, preservation/expansion of states rights, no big foreign interventionism, no nation-building abroad, the current Bush administration has systematically destroyed most of the ideological hallmarks that represent the republican party.....so it would be hard for anyone growing up/ participating in the last eight years to gain the full and proper perspective.

Many of my family served the US military. Luckily none were killed. Even my little sister was in the army!

I had an uncle Jim in the CIA covert operations. I tried to pump him for information. He would only smile. I wished I could know what he did! [he passes away in 06]

My point is- the soldiers that come back- many dont talk about it. often they have a heroic past. My grandfather never spoke of his ww2 service. When he passed away we found some astounding photos. It is my most cherished photo in the house.  He served in teh pacific theator.

My uncle Jim told me- "Roger, you don't have to worry about a thing".   I believe[d] him.

Or he'd declare that the rules don't apply to him because he's neither in the executive branch nor in the legislative...

She'd have my vote and although not in the district I'll be sending money to support her campaign. I don't agree with her politics. I thought her tactic of using her son's death disingenuous and disrespectful; however with the passage of time, she has shown consistency and is dedicated to her position. It speaks to her integrity. We need people of integrity representing us. More importantly we need to get rid of any/all of those who were elected and have not followed through regardless of consequences with their pre-election promises.

You go for it Ms. Sheehan!

many believe the party has been, or is moving to the radical left.... many others deny that,,,if she were to win, id think it would show without a doubt that the shift has been made...

Shotgun would just shoot everybody else in the face and have Rumsfeld bring the finish line closer.
