I have a hard time believing you lack awareness of the assorted dealings between the government of President Chiraq and that of Saddam Hussein. If you don't, then you should research it.

The "can you back that up" tactic is weak, and not worthy of a person with your debate skill. It's like asking the author to read the book for you.

All that said, and as a general response ... what one person said about 9/11 has nothing to do with the feelings of the French government, any more than someone singing "bomb, bomb, bomb ... bomb, bom Iran" does.

I am sorry if I was less than clear in my question.
I cannot imagine anyone with a pulse and a three digit IQ not being aware of the relationship between Chiraq and Hussein.
My request for support of opinion was the assertion that the fear of discovery of this well publicized relationship was the reason for France not wanting to join the U.S. in the war in Iraq.

I would agree...the French cabinet minister was clearly speaking for herself.
As for "Ace McCain" while he speaks for himself he is running for president and I would suggest that what he says is indicative of what he would do if he were elected.
