Actually, it's the DOJ which would handle the indictment. That's why their oath is so damn important.

I can't really see how the fact that it happens in a District Court is an issue, being that the prosecution is initiated by the DOJ, and launched by a Grand Jury...

Sounds more like a bunch of Pussies don't want to do their duty.

If you DO NOT LIE AND OBSTRUCT JUSTICE, you have nothing to fear from any political witch-hunts.

Look at all the other people investigated who did not get convicted of felonies...

Didnt the Republicans spend years and 400 million dollars engaged in a witch hunt about a blow job?

Now they are complaining that the Democrats are engaged in a witch hunt.

Boggles the imagination to think that life can exist in a mind that small.

Fitzgerald is an independant prosecutor. Just because he is on the DOJ's payroll doesn't mean he isn't also working for the judiciary since the indictment will be occuring under the jurisdiction of the judiciary.
If the investigation was occuring under the jurisdiction of the House, then that would be constitutionally acceptable.

Although.....come to think of it....Cheney apparently doesn't think his office is part of the executive, that's what he told Sen. Leahy. So I guess we can cut the VP out of this arguement.
