I am presently generating interest and signing up members for TNG_Maine.  TNG (the next generation) is an online and on occasion real world social group for kinksters age 35 and under.    TNG is quite active in the Boston area, however we’re not Boston.  Maine has a unique culture and spread out geography.   We’d like to help create a group that reflects that unique nature and gives the younger set a place to ‘grow into’ the lifestyle.   If you are interested (or even if you just have commentary) drop me a line.  I’ll be happy to answer any questions you have, and then if you are interested in joining the list I can send you the appropriate information.

Thank you!

id love to find something like that close to me....but why block folks over 35? im sure theres lots of wisdom in those old feeble minds you could learn from....

of course it does feel good to finally be too old for something i think.....or maybe not....ill have to get back to you on that.

good luck to you

Their point and focus is to introduce and educate the younger.. or "The Next Generation", and are modelling their group around a Boston-based group of the same idea.

I think it's a great opportunity to provide the younger kinksters with a place to learn and explore without all the old pervies getting involved.  Of course, as of december I'll be an "old pervie", so it's a moot point. LOL

Maybe we can start up our own.. and call it "TGN".. "The Geriatric Nation".. ;-)

and I don't much care for the fact that I'm welcome at TGN, but my Daddy is not.
Actually, to be honest, I never much cared for 'my generation,' either - self centered and ego-driven, in general.

I'll stick with the geriatric crowd ;)

i'm in the same boat salilus...but Sir is welcome (he's 35) and can even "sponcer" (spelled incorrectly for a purpose...those that know, know why) me if He'd like to take me to an event (i'm 37)...but that's ok...seeing how they don't have a handicap ramp up to thier treehouse, He'll be SOL in 6 months anyway when He hit's 36 lolol

ok..so maybe i AM just a little bitter *smile*

Not bitter, but rather funny, if you don't mind me saying.

I never understand how small subsets like this one get formed based on things like age. It always seems odd to me. I love going to gatherings where there is a whole range of... everyone. I can't imagine going to an event to 'hang out' with people from my age group ("mental age" group, maybe - hanging out with a whole bunch of other 'littles' would be oodles of fun) I'd feel lonely somehow, I think... if that makes sense.

you make perfect sense!  One of the first thoughts that crossed my mind is how utterly ridiculous the concept sounded from a BDSM lifestyle standpoint...

question: Why 35 as a cutoff?
answer: Maybe they want to keep the old pervs out
rebuttal: 36 is old?..how does that make it look for them that they'd keep the very skill-set (for lack of a better term) that can educate, inform and relay personal experiences far beyond their tender years out of the group simply because they're older?

i mean let's face it, we're ALL perverted...so the "perv" angle didn't float with me *wink*  Besides, the older players are the ones with the BEST stories!  (and i'm sure they have some pretty demented and insane punishment ideas as well lol).

But again, i digress, to each his own...if they want to form a group for the younger set, more power to them...it's just going to be mighty hard in a state where the majority of the population is over the age of 50 and the younger generations are fleeing the state in droves as soon as they're able *smile*

Heres My take on this, for what its worth... TNG is a national young adult leather group, built out of a need to provide a place for the younger kinksters who in theory are trying to get their feet wet. I know when I came out to the public world I was barely 25 years old and the local kinksters were kinda intimidating as they were all older (atleast 15 years) and I felt like the baby of the group. The ones who were there were like my parents age and I almost turned and walked out and away from this great lifestyle... So based on this, I talked to some people who started the first TNG group in portland, and with their help and that of Morghan have been trying off and on for two years to get a group going... Now that Morghan has come on as a co founder type person things are starting to get going, because she and I work well togeather.

As far as being young/old enough, if your 35 today, you want to help out, you are more than welcome to help out and to do what you feel, after you turn 36 you are by right NOT excluded from the group but are considered Alumni, meaning that you are still a member but may or may not be able to partisapate in some events... However, If your in a relationship with a TNG'er that is still under the "cut of" age, you are allowed to attend ALL events as sponcered guest by the afore mentioned partner.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly and I will help to work to get you the answer(s)

Blessings,

Mike
