Help!
this girl is trying to think of something to bake for some guys who are going to help intall a radio antenna in the trees for her.  Maybe oatmeal raisin cookies?  i don't even have a coffee pot, so i can't make coffee.  i thought  hot and fresh out of the oven would make the apartment smell nice and inviting.

Level -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (9/11/2009 5:29:07 PM)

Raisins are kinda iffy, one of those love/hate things. Chocolate chips however, are almost universal.

EXCELLENT logic, fluffers. I am a huge fan of anything fresh-baked, but cookies are always a good bet. and how about some tea to go with them, maybe..

fluffypet61 -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (9/11/2009 5:33:04 PM)

Ok, i DO have tea bags and something i can boil water in.  Well, that's IT...i'll make cookies. [:)]

Thanks Goddess.

dcnovice -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (9/11/2009 5:33:46 PM)

Tea and cookies. Hard to go wrong with that!

fluffypet61 -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (9/11/2009 5:38:49 PM)

Well, at the meeting the other night they said (jokingly, i think) they wanted a keg.  So whatever i supply it will be a let down.

Hmmm . . . guys are VERY attracted to the smells of yeast and cinnomen.  So maybe homemade cinnomen rolls.

sunshinemiss -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (9/11/2009 5:55:28 PM)

Give them a six pack to go...

KMsAngel -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (9/11/2009 6:11:42 PM)

say bounty, if i start baking for the shop again, can i start pulling a wage - or take tips?

my last cell phone/internet bill was astronomical!!!

i'm hoping once the wedding has gone gloriously well and is over that my wallet will recover [&:] [:)]

fluffypet61 -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (9/11/2009 6:20:43 PM)

OK, i just checked the pantry and there is enough stuff to make BOTH Chocolate Chip AND Oatmeal Raisin cookies.  There was even an unopened bag of chocolate chips in the very back that doesn't expire until next year!  And i found an unopened bag of walnuts.  If i put nuts in the cookies, i will NOT eat the cookies.  So they will have to take the left overs with them.  YAY!

(i may just sample the cookie dough before the nuts go in, though.)

BOUNTYHUNTER -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (9/11/2009 7:02:33 PM)

Yeah fluffy cookies and a cold 6 pack makes any man happy smile..

Fluffy i remember the last Antenna I put up in a tree, it was easy to get up but a bitch to get down, Lighten took it down about 10 years later, it was an antron CB antenna.. The long slender type about 21 foot long..It blew smoke, I talked to the west coast very easy..

fluffypet61 -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (9/11/2009 7:32:11 PM)

Well, Boss, this is what is called a center fed dipole...a long wire (about 130 feet long) that is horizontal, attached to a tree at each end and the feedwire (coax) to the radio comes off the middle.

I have used this type as well as the inverted v type both work well...
