fluffypet61 -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (7/28/2009 8:10:12 AM)

this girl is trying to get her salt free Southwest seasoned, baked, corn tortilla chips perfected.  Still looking for one that snaps instead of bends.

This batch seems to be crisp enough.  Now all i have to do is repeat this another day and write down what i am doing.

Next to make a chunky salsa that does not have high fructose corn syrup in it.

Advice ???? and here I thought we just handed out orders <wink> ....... Fluffy you can clean and cook in the nude anytime you are here .......noticing that Sunshine and Christine are avoiding my
"invitation"  LOL

Good morning MISSH ,maybe those two are big fraidy katts smile..

fluffypet61 -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (7/28/2009 10:38:09 AM)

Supper tonight will be Penna Pasta with grilled Eggplant and Squash.  The tomato sauce will have onion, garlic and Italian seasonings.

this girl is slicing the eggplant, yellow squash and zucchini into long slices to cook on the grill.  Some cooks place the slices on a paper towel and salt both sides to draw out the bitterness and moisture.  i do not, because i try to keep my sodium intake minimal.

I would say that you are capable how ever with that said we don't know how you are at home or how you take care of yourself ie one that sits and eats a can of cake iceing at one sitting isn't taking very good care of herself... perhaps needs to be screamed at, just my two cents..B

I only eat icing out of a can on a RARE occasion, only the coconut pecan, and about a spoonful or two at a time.  ~ I actually do not remember the last time I had some in the house.

Hanable -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (7/28/2009 1:40:31 PM)

fluffy: no.. dad owns the house.. had it before he had mom, he also pays the bills and is the primary insurance card holder. i can guarantee once im in my own place i will have much less to do with her. oh i can only hope she either lightens up or stops trying to discuss it with me.  its like shes trying to make me hate her... idk any more.

bounty: i didnt eat it all in one sitting... its more like a reward for a good semester... but i thank you for your advice. its nice to be noticed.

To go with the pasta and veggies, we have thick sliced Italian bread baked with garlic cloves it it.  You will also find a saucer of olive oil with Italian herbs for dipping the bread.

Tonight's late night snack is Watermelon-Strawberry sorbet with a sprig of Mint.

There's also some wafer cookies with strawberry filling to go with the sorbet.

MissHarlet -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (7/28/2009 8:40:55 PM)

I will have the sorbert without the mint please ... sounds wonderful . thanks fluffy .......as for a salsa recipe .. I never add any sugar at all ... just put roasted and peeled jalapeno .. or for the less heat tolerant roasted and peeled anaheim peppers (as a last resort use the canned ones ) and fresh tomato preferably .. but you can used canned if you must ... cilantro .. onion and garlic to taste .. into a food processor .. and pulse to the consistancy you want .. and I guaranteeeeee it is a crowd pleaser .. healthy too and can be frozen .. or keeps a week if you can stop eating it long enough for it to last that long

MissHarlet -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (7/28/2009 8:42:22 PM)

good nite everyone .... walking out leaving only the sound of my high heels tapping on the wood floor behind

fluffypet61 -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (7/29/2009 4:34:25 AM)

Good Morning, everyone.  Well, guess what? it's raining again here in the mountains af WV.  It does make it lush and green.

Breakfast sounds good fluffy....
I'm packing my lunch today... leftovers, but you know Mistress is such a great cook that her leftovers are better than most people's primeros....

Aylee -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (7/29/2009 11:48:21 AM)

Afternoon all!  Just coming by for a nice glass of iced tea.

And how is everyone?

hilarykeller -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (7/29/2009 11:50:55 AM)

Do frog legs really taste like chicken? If so, why not just eat chicken? They aren't as pretty as frogs, and they smell. Save the frogs. Kill the chickens.

fluffypet61 -> RE: BOUNTY'S coffee shop (7/29/2009 12:31:03 PM)

Hi, Jiggle.  Welcome to Bounty's.  [sm=welcome.gif]

i'm the nekkie cleaning slave here and occasional cook.  i have never fixed or eaten frogs legs because they are always breaded and fried.  i am trying to reduce fat in my meals.

They are supposed to be a delicacy in France and China.  In West Virginia i think they are just free.
