Appologies if this post overlaps others. Im having problems finding BDSM yahoo groups based in Australia. If anyone can point me in the right direction Id appreciate it - Yahoo group search doesnt like me! LOL! -Mistress Morgana " Let my Chains set you free"

Yahoo removed the adult groups from their search database a few years ago. It will require some search skills to find these groups. I co-own a couple of yahoo groups. I have a few links that have been added to my archives by other members. I have no personal experience with any of these groups, so you'll need to be the judge as to whether they are any good or not. I will be NO help whatso ever. I have singed up a number of times on Yahoo over the last 10 years. I guess I am pretty stupid because I can never figure out to work things there. LOL I can never find groups-- chats-- or even member profiles LOL I tell ya it is embarassing. I have yet again singed up and then proceeded to say fuckit LOL. my tiny brain just cannot make heads or tails - I admit it [:)] I must suffer Yahoo block

I would be happy to help you with yahoo groups. They really aren't all that hard to use. Go to groups.yahoo.com & sign in... this will take you to a list of groups that you currently belong to. From there you can modify your groups. Once you go to the group's homepage you should go to edit your membership because most often the default setting will register you to "no email" & if you are on no email, well you aren't going to get much out of the group. You can select whatever email you wish to have the group's post delivered to as well as how you wish to have them delivered (daily digest or individual) As for searching for groups... it is nearly impossible because yahoo removed adult groups from their researchable database. Many people do post info about their groups in the links section of this forum. It is also a good idea to check the various groups for links to other groups. Some groups have extensive lists of other yahoo groups. Yahoo no longer supports chats within the individual groups. They discontinued this back in 2005. My group use to utilize this feature as we had one to two nights a month that we had scheduled chats. I have no idea if yahoo has "chat rooms" like they use to since I have not ventured into any since the late 90's. Several people I speak with regularly on the various yahoo groups experimented with an idea for a chat group. Not many people really care to get involved with the live chats. Most have schedules that would prevent them from being available for live chats so they prefer the ability to post & read others people's post within the discussion forums/archives.

Some groups are very general, some very specific. Some are by membership-only and/or by invitation-only, so it will greatly depend. Some also are higher volume that others. For starters, you can check out Leather Town Hall which is a newly forming NYC area group which meets in real time and was formed in part to serve as a clearinghouse for other NYC area groups. It's a very low-volume group in terms of online discussion, but you can post an inquiry and people may be able to direct you to what you're looking for. Also you should be aware that google also has online groups. I don't know if you can search for adult/bdsm groups...and I do not know how many are there, but it's worth a look.
