I guess there really is a clothing problem in Louisiana, my bad. GONZALES — State troopers chased a nude driver from East Baton Rouge Parish to Ascension Parish early Monday morning after the man tried to hit them with his pickup truck, a trooper said in a news release. Sgt. Markus L. Smith said Monday afternoon troopers have no idea why the man was naked. The chase began just after 2:30 a.m. near the State Fairgrounds on Airline Highway and ended when the driver, 25-year-old Bryan Batulis Jr. of Jennings crashed in a ditch on Coontrap Road near Gonzales, Smith said. The incident began when state troopers were diverting southbound traffic off Airline Highway toward a turnaround in the median, Smith said. The troopers were investigating a fatality a few days earlier. Batulis would not stop, so troopers tried to pull him over. One trooper approached the Ford F-350 pickup truck to remove the driver but Batulis sped up and hit the trooper in the leg with his truck, Smith said. At another point during the chase, Batulis tried to run over two other troopers attempting to get him to stop in the parking lot of Frank’s Restaurant in Prairieville, Smith said. Instead of stopping, Batulis again stepped on the gas and tried to hit the troopers. The troopers fired at the truck’s right front tire and deflated it, Smith said. Batulis was later booked with three counts of attempted first-degree murder of a police officer, two counts of aggravated flight from an officer, one count of resisting arrest, one count of driving while impaired by a controlled dangerous substance, and two counts of reckless operation of a motor vehicle, Smith said. I'm surprised they didn't shoot him. They had every right to do so.

Well, the driver is not reported as being drunk or under the influence which would have been my first guess. The next is that he had committed another crime and ditched his clothing in an effort to remove evidence. Or he was caught by a jealous husband/boyfriend and had to run for his life! [sm=idea.gif] Next time he should just rub himself down in Crisco and go streaking through the heart of town.

I'm surprised as well, LA is not known as a state that plays. He must have caught them really off guard to still be breathing. He has a charge that states he was on something.

in response to someone saying they were surprised they did not shoot him. im a lil surprised myself. in my area last year or so, an off duty officer killed a teenager, as the tenn was leaving a breakfast diner in the early a.m. hours. the kids(there were a few in the vehichle) had apparently jumped the check. the officer was working ther ein his off time,,and tried to stop the kids vehichle,and the kid panicked i guess, and kept going. the officer shot severlal times into the vehicle killing the driver. i believe he was 17 yrs old. a damn shame in retrospect. hell of a price to pay for running out on a check. i wonder if the fall out from that didnt send waves thru other police depts?

They have SC cases in the last 50 years that show this is a trigger happy place. There are places you play, and this one ain't it. Personally, and off track, My thing is this, in the last 15 years there has been such a shift, but because it was about votes, we are all in fear. Even though violent crime has declined. Yes, yes, now it has increased.........so has the poverty rate. I see that. However, this is a fly swatter..................and this is a gun. I'm also watching people getting nailed, with equipment that the cops aren't trained to use....useless death, but it makes them feel good, moral and all. If I say the OG is 1066, are you following me? Because I got news, the people your looking for are ligit. Laywers, doctors, etc. its how the game is played and they have come very far. These guys have been over prepared they can't see straight, MS 13 and your girl gangs are your problem. These chics don't care. But the police are still playing. Wallet=gun. We are so much the enemy that they miss it all together. I may have rambled. My apologies.
