Getting stains out of a latex matress?

Status: offline 		I have a matress protector, but have discovered the batting on some of it has torn clean away, there for it no longer protects the matress, there is one soda stain and some other lighter unidentifiable stains prolly sweat, on my cotton topped matress. I tried to use carpet stain remover, only thing it acomplished was wetting the matress.

How, if I can do I remove stains from this matress? thei nners is like memory foam, but latex and more breathable than memory.

I haven't read the other posts but...here's my solution:

Get a small 1 gallon container.

Mix 25% Chlorox (or whatever bleach is on sale...whatever is the cheapest will work fine) with water.

Pour same into a small spray bottle.

Of course, remove all bedding prior to.

Open windows (it's still, even at that slight dilution, rather strong).

Get some crappy cloths to use....something you won't mind if the bleach destroys (think '70's...tie die).

Set small box fan over damaged area.

Spray lightly over the stained area...as needed.

Briskly wisk your cloths over same (again...damaged area).

Have Yellow Pages at the ready.

Order new mattress.

(Set couch up with nice clean blankets until mattress company arrives).

Status: offline 		griswald this is a new matress, and it cost about 1 thoughsand or so dollars , isn't payed off yet won't be for along while.

Common sense, usually works in these kind of situations.

If you don't like it why don't you ignore it?

Status: offline 		Contact the store, or contact the manufacturer (egads sp) via email if you don't want to call. If it is brand new you don't want to damage it yet by using home methods although the bleach/fan idea is pretty good.

Oh believe me I do ignore most of your posts, as I find most worth nothing more than an eyeroll, such as; how do I plant and care for a this kind of plant, now I know you can find that in a zillion places on Google. IMO, I think it has more to do with laziness, than just because you can or any need or desire to help others.

Status: offline 		I'm not supposed to get ANY stains, but the damb batting in the protector tore out in huge chunks in area's , and so those area's are not protected.

Take it out in the back yard, toss a half gallon of gasoline on it and light a match.
Buy a new mattress.
