ORIGINAL: gooddogbenji Am I the only one who finds this monoculture of foreign(For most of us, it aint local grasses), high maintenance plants, coupled with the endless water-to-make-it-grow/chop-off-the-top cycle somewhat tedious, unnatural, and anything but environmentally friendly? I mean, a slightly longer, local grass with some wildflowers, some bugs, and a few shrubs would provide much better cover for an outdoor flogging, no? That's what i tried doing... last year i left the back yard completely alone... whatever the hell took root there ended up growing almost 8 feet tall and made the yard impassable. i didn't care- plenty of parking out front... didn't go over so well with my wife, tho
