How is it possible to be mad and sleep. Im still angry at my brother for slamming me. anyone that has watched the baord here knows we go thru this. maybe it is a rivalry type thing. anyhow this home is my castle,  i will decide what looks nice.

which brings me to scorched lawns and plants. i have sunburn and tennis elbow from watering my forest.  the neighbors did not like the trees at 1st- but now that they see my creativity and that im friendly to them- they have even copied abit of my work. a true compliment.

this all has me like an insane person.

during my rage- i started to tear a wall out.  dont know if it a supporting wall. recall back a few months- when Ed said if I did not clean out moms attic he would never do anything ever again for me.

the bank and i bought this place. my psychiatsist said to find a place to lay my haed at night. so this is what i did. im glad the black outs are back- because it would have hit one way or anotehr.

is ur grass brown?

Not brown, but way, way too long again. I swear the time between cutting the lawn gets shorter and shorter (as does my enthusiasm to do so, and that's pretty damn short to start with.)

funny the grass goes brown but the weeds thrive. the neighbor wonderred why i water my trees and garden so much - i said in case water restrictions occur later in summer. i have hundreds of $ in plants...maybe even 1k.  anyhow they need alot of water to take root.

fertilize and then fertilize some more.  The grass will turn green again.
We used the fertilizer with weed killer in it this year.  Didn't do a thing for the weeds.
Got any ideas for weed death that isn't round up please let me know.
Round up has never worked for me in California...and so far hasn't in NE either.

Everyone else's is, but we have a proverbial forest in our backyard.  We have a plethora of huge, old trees in my backyard despite living in the heart of my town and five blocks away from Purdue University.  That's one of the things I love about this town, all the greenery.  Anyway, they provide so much shade that our grass is still lush, if not growing as quickly.  Somehow my geraniums and rosebush have come out of the drough and, later, torrential downpours intact, too.  I'm looking forward to the hopeful donation of a red raspberry bush from one of my friends when she tears her extras out.  Yum!

That will kill your grass, too.

Roundup has always worked for me.  It's laborous to apply it, but it has always worked like a charm here.

I poured almost a gallon of Round-Up on a bougainvillea vine that was invading my garden.

Lovely new growth the following spring.

Are you watering by hand or with a sprinkler?
Have you tried fresh fertilizer as in cow manure or fish guts and bones?

Apparently you mix the bleach with water?  What ratio?
For killing weeds that aren't in anything I want I generally buy the total vegetation killer then mix it at about
300% of what the directions say to.  Otherwise it still doesn't seem to totally kill anything.

We have some tough weeds here.  The dandelions alone don't die with the dandelion killer we bought.

2,4-d is the way to go--go to a farm store, you want to hit the fuckin' dandylions and thistle in the spring as soon as you see farmers in the field, mid summer, and again in the fall.

The trouble is them weeds come with a big taproot, so a thistle can look like a sequioa while the rest of the grass is lying broke-dick in the dirt.

2,4-d is the basis for all the other crap, it is safe to eat your grass after thirty days.

Goggles, gloves (breather if you are of faint lung) calm day, no rain for a day or two after application, and just soak the shit out of the plant.

For blackouts, I would recommend several things, although a quart of Wild Turkey usually is pretty good.

They have a guy who goes around hassling people about DANDELIONS?? i'd say fertilize the ground with his blood and gristle!

We had a couple days of heavy rain last week... when i went out this weekend the grass was half-way up to my knees in one section. No brown here. Hope we'll get some more rain before the 4th, tho.

his job- is to enforce all code violations. the mayor has announced a zero tolerance per crime. so they are arresting drug dealers and bad boys left and right. im all for a safe community. we had 3 small riots so far this year- sorta racial in nature-

as far as home values- it isnt a place that one will make alot of cash here. as we ahve no job base......

dandilions and thistles are prolific seeders, many times it is new plants coming out of the ground, not that the old ones have survived..........

cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
