LotusSong -> In a Time Before PC-ness (6/19/2007 9:33:44 AM)

The thread about chocolate dominas curves reminded me of these songs from Hair from WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back in the 60’s.  Enjoy :)  (equal time given)

Three of the women in the Tribe (hippy communes referred to themselves tribes too) sing the virtues of "Black Boys," and are countered by three blond-wigged Supreme-lookalikes with "White Boys"

Song: Black Boys Lyrics
Black boys are delicious
Chocolate flavored love
Licorice lips like candy
Keep my cocoa handy
I have such a sweet tooth
When it comes to love

Once I tried a diet
Of quiet, rest, no sweets
But I went nearly crazy
And I went clearly crazy
Because I really craved for
My chocolate flavored treats

Black boys are nutritious
Black boys fill me up
Black boys are so damn yummy
They satisfy my tummy
I have such a sweet tooth
When it comes to love
Black black black black
black black black black
Black boys

Song: White Boys Lyrics
White boys are so pretty
Skin as smooth as milk
White boys are so pretty
Hair like Chinese silk

White boys give me goose bumps
White boys give me chills
When they touch my shoulder
That's the touch that kills

Well, my momma calls 'em lilies
I call 'em Piccadillies
My daddy warns me stay away
I say come on out and play

White boys are so groovy
White boys are so tough
Every time that they're near me
I just can't get enough

White boys are so pretty
White boys are so sweet
White boys drive me crazy
Drive me indiscreet

White boys are so sexy
Legs so long and lean
Love those sprayed-on trousers
Love the love machine

My brother calls 'em rubble
That's my kind of trouble
My daddy warns me "no no no"
But I say "White boys go go go"

White boys are so lovely
Beautiful as girls
I love to run my fingers
And toes through all their curls

Give me a tall
A lean
A sexy
A sweet
A pretty
A juicy
White boy

Oooh I always loved this movie and always cry at the end hehe. Remember the song 'Masturbation', sung by one of the hippie dudes on a horse to an older matron type?

Mother, why do these words sound so nasty?
Masturbation can be fun
join the holy orgy
karma sutra everyone

LotusSong:
I am old enough to have seen it live at the Aquarius over on Sunset.  I must have gone to see it about a half dozen times. Ben Vareen was in it as was Bob Rothman.  Bob was driving a a 14" over springer Back then.

When I read the boards here and see the comments on how the "older generation" just doesn't "get it"... I reflect back on this example of MY youth.  Got it?  We just about invented "it".  (but then every subsequent generation thinks they have invented "it")

This is how we were.  This was a theme song of that time:

This was your GRANDPARENT'S generation.

Actually, this story is very pertinent to this time we are living in now.  I recommend  anyone who hasn't seen it to do so.

The main singer in this clip is Treat Williams.  God he was gorgeous!!!
