Hello everyone,

I am Der Meister and I am new to the D/s scene. I've been perusing the posts throughout CM looking for advice on how to be a good Master and Dom.

I feel that I have the hunger to Dominate in me and I've felt that way for some time now. It just took me a while to identify it. For me it's about control of a situation, a reaction, control of a personal relationship.

I really like the idea of a female sub following my orders, allowing me to bind and restrain her and allowing me to pleasure her in a way that I see fit. I'm very much interested in the whole sensory experience for the both of us. Obviously the sights but more importantly the sounds, smells, and touches mean a lot to me. The submission to my command is titillating but I imagine that my kick is more from the restraining than anything else.

Now for the NOOB part. Am I on the right track here? I feel that I am but I'm looking for advice from Experienced Masters and worthy subs. I'm also interested in learning from a local (SF Bay Area) Master on how to bind, restrain, and treat a sub-female.

Hello there.  First, i would like to say 'Welcome'.  My name is Phoenix and i am 1st girl to Master Dragon Stormwolf.

Second, i would like to advise you to get involved with your local BDSM community.  It is my experience that just because one has the desire to control, does not mean that they are a good Master/Dom.  That takes training and time and experience.  i have been in and out of the lifestyle for about 12 years, both as a slave and a Domme.  My Master has been in the lifestyle for about 20 years.  W/we would both advise to either get some 'formal' training or get a Mentor in your location, at the very least do some intensive reading.  There are many great websites and books that you can read...  If you make a post asking for this information I am sure that many will reply.

3rd, dont be afraid to post, though you might get some flack for being new and inexperienced.  Remember, we all started out somewhere and had to have someone 'show them the ropes' so to speak.  And as far as bondage and restraints...  It is my advise that you look into some workshops or classes.  Also, I KNOW that there are some great books on the subject (the names are eluding me right now, sorry).

4th, have fun.

Feel free to contact us for advise, we will help if we can.

Blessed Be and Merry Meet

1st girl Phoenix

Phoenix,

Thank you for your advice. All was well taken and I do appreciate it. This obviously takes a lot of research which I am more than happy to do. In a way I recognize this as a two part form of control, in order to effectively Master others I must first Master myself and the subject matter. An interesting avenue that I wasn't expecting but one that I see is neccessary if I am to expect somonme to subjugate themselves to me. Also very exciting...

Thank you again,

Der Meister

I agree with DragonNphoenix, it is critical that you get involved with your local community.  Many people will not play with you unless you have some community involvement inorder to ensure that you know how to use those toys and how to be a proper top.  The other part about reading and learning from others is also very important.  When I was a novice, I went to countless workshops and meetings.  I was community involved in many different ways.  I had a mentor who was there for me and I read everything I could get my hands on.  I truly appreciated all of that education as it kept me safe, sane and playing consentually.  It taught me about myself and what I like and do not like, what I can do and can not do. I learned so much about the how to's and not to's.  Basically, without that education and support I would not be playing today.  The other thing about this kind of approach is that you always learn new things.  One of my current tops is a woman who recently told me that she still attends workshops after being in this community for 30 years because she always learns something new about playing and she is continously improving on her skills or adding new things to her list of things she does.  Continous growth and change is really important to her in the ways she shares pain with others.  It is important to me as her bottom too, as in the end, nothing stagnates in her world.

Much luck to you in your quest for sharing pain and play!
