It took me many, many years to accept the fact that I am a dominant. BDSM is still pretty unconventional and there are many moral traps. Like: Am I a monster if I enjoy flogging a naked, bound slave? I also saw the necessity to mature into my role (if that can make any sense to anyone of you). Domination is the ultimate form of responsibility, and submission is the ultimate form of devotion. And that is my personal truth why BDSM is sexy as Hell.
About five years ago I dared to come out and visited a club in Dallas, the Sanctuary. I met experienced dominants there, in particular a man named Red. We talked for a long time and he gave me very good advice, for which I am grateful enough to mention him here.
Following his advice I read "The Loving Dominant", and that book spoke right out of my soul. I think BDSM is indeed a form of love, although a twisted, polarizing and very, very exciting one. You either get it or you don't. That's what I am trying to say with my screen name.
I hope that by joining this forum I will find answers and insight to my many remaining questions about the lifestyle, and perhaps also break through the social isolation and make a few friends. I definitely hope to find sincere people here.
