ORIGINAL: Elorin I'm not a puppy, I'm a kitty cat. But what do I get out of it? Playfulness. No thinking. I do what cats do. I exhibit interest when I'M interested in things, I sniff and turn my nose up at things I don't like, I lick myself in public, I play whenever I want to, I pounce on things that move. I don't have to worry about appropriateness, maturity, or being good (unless I interrupt a seminar, which I would not do, I would take a nap instead). I get lots of lap and cuddle time. I get to lick and bite Daddy's hand, hiss at strangers who offend me. The biggest draw for me is attention, petting, and disengaging my intellectual brain for a while. ~E I think the above puts it pretty well. Also for some people who have issues with socializing, it is a way of being there but not. I know when I spent some time as a bouncer back in my awkward youth it was that way for me. I hated socializing and was never any good at it. I was able to be social but with zero pressure becaue I "had" to be there anyway. Very formative experience for me and I could see how being able to be Master's beloved pet would provide a similar freedom from having to deal with people.
