Holding a 2 yr old covered in dad's brains

Throwing my son out of the house (tough love) when he was 16

Telling 4 crying kids and mom that dad was dead on Christmas Day

Graduation from Basic Training

Becoming a single parent

Ken, it was awful nice to get out of Boot Camp wasn't it?
Our Co. Commander had just returned from Vietnam about 6 months prior to being stationed at Great Lakes  as a "Boot Pusher" on a tour on the USS Oklahoma City, a Cruiser that was on the line for gunfire support.
Of course he was telling us all kinds of horror stories.lol
We all felt like King Kong when we got out of that place.
You could never get enough sleep in Boot Camp!
They really pushed us.
