Dearest MzMia, i think anyone with a child dies a little inside when witnessing such tradgedy. i was watching the report with my son and was moved as he spoke first of how sad it made him and how angry he was for such a senseless waste of life. As his father, i immediately went on the, be careful, always be aware, avoid situations which bother you offense. Then i realized the fact that this beautiful young Lady had gone to a busy store, returned to Her car in a busy parking lot, all in broad daylight. No place is safe, no one is safe anymore, from the madness which lurks to destroy. If in fact the young man caught on video is responsible for this crime, what could have possibly existed in his life that in a few short years he became capable of taking a life so easily? i don't know if a death penalty would have deterred such from happening as some simply have no respect for life, as is proven everyday. Our prisons are full, our young are killing each other at an alarming rate, there is an underlying anger which invades and permeates our lives on a daily basis. i spent the rest of the evening glancing over at my son, only seventeen, the thought of him ever being taken from me and the heartbreaking sadness which would destroy my days hangs with me this very minute. i will pray for the family of young Kelsey, that they will find the strength to make it through what will change their lives forever. Death is coming at us in so many ways these days, it can almost numb us to the fact. i will in fact pray for all who are realizing the loss of a loved one, and ask that others join me in doing such. The issues which most of us may consider as problems, suddenly pale when we walk in the shoes of those whose simple afternoon became a nightmare. Thank You for posting this here, so much more important tonight, than any other topic i can think of. Be well, hug your children, love them with all your might, voices and smiling faces may suddenly fade away. chia*
