ORIGINAL: pahunkboy monthly tenants are diffiicult. weekly is no problem. they are classified as guests or "unwanted guests"- no notice is requitred. Are you saying this from a 'legalistic' perspective, in that, if one were to rent, say a house share, on a weekly basis, that there would be none of the formal eviction legalities? yes. if you have a month to month lease- you are afforded more rights then if you rent on a weekly bases. if you have a lease which both parties agree to a stipulation that isnt legal- then the contract is unenforeable. if you rent out a room- BY THE WEEK- you do not have to serve papers as you do with a monthly tenant. keep in mind that what is legal and illegal sometimes carries no weight. locally- I am in Pennsylvania, we do not have a rent control board. my last place- the landlord turned off my electric -gas and water- simply because he could. I left- as his next move would have been to padlock the place. Do you think I was a really really niceeeeeeeeee guy on my final exit? When I seen he shut my water off- I got so mad- I blah blah blah-titty-blah! Hope he has fun. :-)
