Well said Michael, and I'll take it a step further. Many American can't seem to stop demonizing those they don't agree with on even a single issue. You know, I'm pro-life ... to an extreme that I think all abortion should be outlawed, and if you are caught getting or performing one, you should go to jail, forever. That said, I can work for a candidate that is pro-choice, if that candidate is best for the country. We differ on one issue, but doing what is right for the majority, is the mandate of an American ... getting your own way, isn't. In the example above, it's pretty clear that I'm in the vast minority, so in that instance, democracy gives me a huge dose of STFU. [;)] Demonizing all, is the most dangerous position of all. Consider this ... none of the candidates have ever been President before. We don't really know what kind of President they will be. Even examining their past voting records can be problematic ... if they live in a hyper-liberal of hyper-conservative part of the country, you would somewhat expect them to vote for the people they represent. When they represent the mainstream, for instance, if they were elected President, they might just do the same thing, "vote" in the mainstream. Now, in the instance of Senator Clinton ... come on folks. This is America, and right now, it takes a ton of money to get elected. No matter the candidate or the party ... right now, it's take PAC money, or get one-percent in the election. People that cringe at that system, should perhaps vote for the candidate that favors elections funded by the federal government. (not a bad plan, really) This entire thread is like whining about the air, when there isn't anything else to breath.
