TODAY'S REASON DELL SUCKS.

An order of 30 PC's and Monitors, and their shipper, despite the bill-of-lading, refused to deliver them inside.

Is it Dell's fault their shipper sucks?

DELL CHOSE THEM.

Yes.

That's just today. 2 weeks ago it was the complete and total failure of their drive imaging service, requiring us to mindwipe and load EVERY SINGLE PC they ship us ( Including these 30 ).

Dell is no better, and no worse than anyone out there. They all suck. ONCE HP used to make Lab Gear, those days are over.

Since I feel like showing off my research skills I though I would give you all my posts on walmart... there are three pages of them and I do not feel like arguing about it anymore... you see minnetar, I have been attacked for presenting much info on how bad walmart is...

http://www.collarchat.com/searchpro.asp?phrase=walmart&author=juliaoceania&forumid=ALL&topicreply=both&message=body&timeframe=%3E&timefilter=0&language=single&top=300&criteria=AND&minRank=0&sortMethod=r&submitbutton=+OK+

You know what minnetar, recently I read someone that posted something I completely agreed with. The poster said that those on this forum who bemoan the mean spiritedness of others, that spend all their time whining about how nasty others are, were seemingly some of the meanest nastiest folks on here... in my opinion, you fit that description beautifully.

I do not want to talk about walmart of this board anymore... find some other scabs to pick sweety

lol.  haha.  You go girl!!!  hehe.

Umm.  I used to edit for the Open Directory Project at one time.. (dmoz.org).  Anyways, it is unbelievable just how many sites there are out there that simply trash Walmart.  Everything from employee beefs, to deceptive marketting practices, to sweat shop labor, to heavy-handed tactics with suppliers..  to destroying small cities' entire economy..  And everything in between.  All in the name of "falling prices".  I still shop there though..  They sell the finest can of Ravioli evah.

I have to admit though..  My favorite tactic is going into Walmart, taking note of the prices of the products I am interested in, then going to another, more reputable vendor that is selling the same product..  Then I give them Wally World's price..  They beat the price..  Then I use my PST exemption.  mwahaha.

Hey, maybe I should try that

i wonder if one of the problems is being able to customize a pc and not being able to get it right away.  minnetar

Not get it right away?  I bought a Dell in December and had it in 5 days!  A customized, dual core processor w/300Gb memory.  That is "right away" to me.  Plus, it was less than $800 with a flat screen monitor.  You won't be able to get that price for this machine in WalMart.

Added bonus for buying online: I didn't have to wait in line for the half an hour it takes to check out surrounded by a crowd of stupid, smelly people who were yelling into their cell phones accompanied by screaming children running amok .

I mean the only things that can use a dual core are the vista operating system, a few graphic design programs, and like what 3 games.  The rest all only need a single core, or can only be played on one.  Look past the hype...the only reason you need all that memory and space is because programmers are writing sloppy code these days.
The technology you see today is old.  Its not really new.  Its all about profit and money is all, and protecting those things.

I agree with the "Its all about profit and money is all, and protecting those things." statement, but I have to say my dual core with tons of memory & ram help me do my business work much faster at home than at my desk in the office.  I create and process Excel spreadsheets with 10,000 lines of information in 25 columns (a quarter of a million cells) using a lot of array formulas and my home computer does the work so much faster than my work computer (which is a pentium4).

I hate picking the "quote" button instead of the "edit" button.
