Grrrrrr!!! .......

I've just spent the last 30 minutes trying every password I can ever remember using in the past, and I can't open three of my documents on MSWord.

I spent a considerable amount of time creating these documents, and am feeling a high level of frustration.

Do I have any recourse, other than recreating these documents?

Incase it's still an issue, I'd try Decryptum.

Yup, it's still an issue. I started researching on Google, got through the first page, and found two services that charge $29 per document. I tried to determine if the services disclose what the forgotten password is... since I may have used the same PW for all 3 documents. But I ran out of time. (I was home on my lunch break when I OP'd).

Running late, I ran out and left the documents on my home PC. Now I'm back at the office. I should have forwarded the documents here, but I didn't think of it during my window of opportunity. 

My home PC is much older and slower (dial-up) than my PC at work. I'll check out Decrytum, and try to determine if speed will be an issue insofar as their recovery service is concerned.
